Welcome to my channel! I am Rebecca and I was born and raised in a town just outside London. My love for the English language inspired me to become a TESOL-certified tutor, and I've had the pleasure of helping students from all over the world learn British English.

Hi everyone, happy Friday! π
As we're heading into the weekend and many of us will have some free time, itβs the perfect opportunity to focus on our learning goals π¬π§
Here are some of my key tips for learning a language:
π Learn 5 new words in context: Pick a newspaper article, read it through, and select 5 words that are new to you. Look up their definitions and then write an example sentence for each word so that you practise them in context. Not a big reader? No problem! You can do the same with a video, for example a TED Talk.
π Record yourself reading aloud: Using the same article or text, read it out loud while recording yourself. Listen back and notice which words or phrases need improvement. Then practise those specifically to see progress.
π Use the βword familyβ method: Choose a root word like help, create, or teach, and list all the different forms you can think of. A dictionary or online tool can help you find more. For example, with the word teach:
- Teacher
- Teaching
- Taught
This method is a great way to build a strong vocabulary pool.
