In an exciting development for martial arts in the region, Kasumi-Ki Kan-Karate International has announced the opening of two new karate schools under the leadership of Kyoshi Phanidhar Gogoi.
The first branch, organized in collaboration with the Bijoy Nagar Sports Club, is located in Rupai Siding, Bijoy Nagar, and will hold its grand opening on January 25, 2026, at 10:00 A.M.
A second location at the Balijan Nepali Shiv Mandir in Digboi is scheduled to open earlier on January 19, 2026, at 2:00 P.M.

Oil India Limited made history by reaching the finals of the 29th PSPB Inter-Unit Senior T20 Cricket tournament (2025-26), hosted by GAIL in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The tournament was held over five days, from December 11 to December 15, 2025, with the matches played at the Jaipuria Cricket Academy. In the championship match on December 15, Oil India Limited, batting first, was all out for 102 runs in 19.5 overs. Despite a valiant effort, the team ultimately secured the first runners-up title after being defeated by champions IOCL, who comfortably chased the target, scoring 107 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in just 13.5 overs, winning by 7 wickets. This historic runner-up finish marks a significant milestone for Oil, while BPCL secured the third position in their playoff.
