I have an associates degree in early childhood education and i’m pursuing my bachelor’s in Education with a history concentration. I am a business owner, teacher, youth leader and program coordinator. I made this channel to showcase my passion. I’m tired of seeing our stories watered down, erased, or misrepresented.

Do I have any cat experts here?🤣 Gypsy (Black) I believe she is a black oriental shorthair cat or something— Gave birth to a siamese cat? (Onyx) Is this normal? They’re both fixed now and we got the most wonderful addition to the household. Yesterday i saw him kiss our doggy. He is so smart too. Noticeable differences from gypsy when she was a baby and her son Onyx, He’s not as good at hunting as gypsy was maybe because we spoil him?😂 He will sit up high above everything else and grab you, He can jump and climb highhhh and likes swinging on the door, He will try to open doors literally by jumping at the door knob, He’s so cool frl. Gypsy is laid back he’s not🤣

I am still trying to find my balance :) It’s only going to get harder for me😭As I’m doing a lot of business traveling, About to graduate just to enroll in university full time for my ba, I want to pledge this year😩, Teaching abroad throughout the year, Planning field trips, Owning a business, I’m in about 5 organizations in my city, constantly on business calls… My next video will probably just be a sit down explaining where i’m at in life and the small changes underway. We still going to need this history channel though because baby i’m getting my BA In education and history, so believe im only about to be better and able to communicate fully in english and spanish which opens my audience up to our diaspora brothers that are spanish speaking. 🔥🔥

Using ancestry I was able to locate my 1st Cousin 1x removed and my 2nd cousin, After talking with them and catching up after never knowing they existed— i’m flying to see them next week. They’re so family oriented. I love you Nneka, Dejon, Skyla, Lyric ❤️🙏🏽

When I say I’m Creole, I’m talking about Louisiana during the time of French occupation—French names, culture, and a mix of Catholic and Baptist faiths. My roots come from the intermingling of Africans, Europeans, and Native peoples in Louisiana. We spoke Louisiana Creole—Lalwizyàn Kréyol. Kouri vini. My ancestors were raised on a farm in a small rural town, mostly Free People of Color and sharecroppers.
