Hello everybody. After a couple years, I've decided to part ways with the Cars 2 Modding Discord server. I won't go into detail but, I have not been in great terms and have had various disagreements with Max the past few years. Over time my grievances have built up and recently there was a dispute between us that led to the decision where I believe it was suitable for me to part ways. Despite its flaws, the overall community is not part of my reason, and I am actually very appreciative of everyone who has joined me and been inspired by my work and efforts while I was present in the Discord server all these years. I'm not sure what path I will be going on from here on out, whether it's secluding myself and any updates/progress in regards to my mods or straight up creating a Discord server of my own, because I still want to give back to the community and build a foundation that would strive and prove to be reliable for years to come, but I'm just not entirely sure what the right decision is for me yet. One thing is clear, while I will still be working on my mods, I will never be joining the Cars 2 Modding Discord server ever again. Regardless of our differences and any decisions I make in the future, I wish the best of luck to Max and everyone else involved in the Discord server. I hope it continues to thrive and that Max and the others can continue to help push the scene further.

An early-access build of ArcadeEssentials 2.0.0 has been released on itsmeft's ko-fi! This update introduces a ton of new features and QoL changes to further enhance the gameplay experience:

- Support for DirectInput Controllers
- Support for Keyboard Controls
- Support for Game Progression
- High-Resolution Shadows (Shadow Resolution 512x512 ---> 8192x8192)
- Motion Blur Toggling
- Automatic Picture-In-Picture Scaling

And last, but CERTAINLY not least...
Support for Splitscreen Multi-Player! For the first time, you can now enjoy playing Cars 2: The Video Game in glorious high-definition with your buddies with native-level performance.

Hey everyone, I’ve got some unfortunate news. One of my hard drives that held over 5 years of my work suddenly failed on me last week. It had nearly everything important to me: YouTube content, Cars 2 mods, WIP projects, and years of personal files.

The only potential way to recover it is through a data recovery service that costs about $400 (service will be over $1000 after the year ends). If recovery fails, I won't have to pay a dime and I’ll refund donors if possible or make sure all funds are put to good use.

If you’ve ever enjoyed my work and would like to help me save it, I’d be incredibly grateful for any support. Donations are never required, but they will be asbolutely crucial for me.

There is a $400 goal set on my Ko-fi linked below, and if we reach it, ft will announce something big for the Cars 2 modding community. This may not seem beneficial on the surface, but the plans he has are MASSIVE and they will absolutely change the way we view this game forever.

Hey everybody! I posted a video a little while ago that essentially doubles as both an informational video, and a guide on getting 4-Player Splitscreen working on Cars 2 PC. There is an update to this mod which will allow Steam Input to recognize more than 2 controllers, which will completely fix all and any problems with this mod to begin with!

With this in mind, I'm going to be unlisting the video instead of deleting it and posting an updated video within the next upcoming weeks. If you still want to learn how to set up 4-Players using the old methods, you can by watching the current video but, I highly recommend waiting for the update video.
