Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 vs. MacBook Pro 14
Who makes the better performance 14" laptop?

We just finished our full review of the 2026 G14, and I realized that the closest competitor is, in fact, the MacBook Pro in its M5 Max configuration.

Similar footprint and build quality, vastly different display tech, a slightly different approach to ports and overall styling, of course, and, of course, the performance difference is also very interesting.
The MBP crushes the G14 in CPU workloads, and the bigger M5 Max GPU is about on par with the G14's RTX 5070 Ti, but the Zephyrus is the clear winner in gaming, of course, and Nvidia has a few other aces up its sleeves if your applications can take advantage of platform-specific features.
That said, in the creator space, things are also heavily optimized for macOS... so which one would be your pick?

Oh yeah, the MBP is A LOT more expensive, especially in that top-end M5 Max config!
You will get more RAM and a bigger SSD tho.

Meet the 2026 Lenovo Yoga Pro 9!

We finally got our hands on the refresh, and not only will you get a slightly refined chassis (RIP numblock), but the 16-incher is also one of the first laptops in the studio with Nvidia's RTX 5070 12GB.

I had the chance to try the new Yoga for a couple of days already, and what stood out to me for now is that Lenovo was able to up their game when it comes to the "feel" of the chassis, since this puppy feels a lot more premium than before, almost on par with something like the Zephyrus G16 and the XPS 16, for example.

Our overall performance numbers will also be quite interesting, since not everything will benefit right away from the added VRAM, but I would guess that creators and power users, in particular, will benefit greatly from the new RTX 5070.

As awesome as it is, unaffordable?!

I am having a ton of fun with 007: First Light, and it's also one of those games that supports the full ecosystem of not only Razer's chroma RGB integration but also their haptics (you remember their "vibrating" headphones? https://youtu.be/1mx0OdbAWV4)

So naturally, I had to put together a full setup and test it all out!

We are currently working on a little something with Nvidia and a bunch of super-slim, portable gaming laptops, and then we are going to get you that detailed G14 video!
