East of June is all about the music—no gimmicks, no chasing trends, just songs that feel right. What began as a chance connection between Emily Rath (vocals, keys) and Kyle Mortensen (guitars, bass, synths) turned into a creative partnership.

Their latest single "Dragon" is a powerful anthem of self-discovery and resilience. “It’s about awakening the fire within,” says Emily. Produced by Kyle and mixed by Grammy-nominated Eric Emery, the track takes a darker, more cinematic turn while staying true to the band’s signature sound.

With over 18 singles and three EPs since 2019—including their rock-infused take on Billie Eilish's "Ocean Eyes" and the genre-blending "Golden Crown"—East of June continues evolving, pushing boundaries, and making music that moves people. "Dragon" marks the start of an exciting new chapter.
