So there was once a cruel and despotic ruler...
He was hated by the people who began to organize the stirrings of a revolution
The ruler's advisers heard of this and immediately informed the king so he could quell the rebellion before it starts
But with a wry smile, the king said: No, I think there are better ways
So he issued a royal decree
That on a particular day at a particular time, he would step down as ruler and allow the peoplee to choose their own representatives from among themselves.
This caused a huge political struggle for a little while
Until eventually, 12 different factions emerged all vying for power
So the king, who was now an ordinary citizen suggested that: why don't you all elect a representative among each faction?
The crowd thought that this was indeed a good idea and so they did... 1 representative for each of the 12 factions
It was known as The People's Party and each one had an equal vote in true democratic form
Meanwhile, the former king actually paid off all the representatives before The Party was formed and continued to rule from the shadows until his death from the bubonic plague 🥹
