Dream It Write is a woman-owned consulting startup that supports small and large companies with day-to-day strategies, including communications, analytics, and thought leadership on the internet of things.
Many studies suggest that readers of online content are generally more engaged when there are accompanying visuals (e.g., images, infographics, videos). A new generation of designers and coders have made user experiences even more exciting. Which of these supporting visual types do you prefer?
a. Infographics b. Dynamic images c. Static images d. Videos
People continue to be inundated with fake news that permeates through the airwaves, social media, and social circles, so it's tough to tell what's real these days.
We salute those who can get the story straight, no matter how difficult it is to get to the truth.

Web people use a lot of fancy words and terms, like heuristic, information architecture, and bounce rate. We certainly won’t stop using this lingo to do our work.
Do you know what is equally as important?

Quick Tip: Consumers have been using the web for decades. They have now developed a mental model of how things should work. Just make sure it works the way they expect it to.
What's their fix? Mainly, it's finding information: getting answers to this and that. @DreamItWrite also has the scoop on what else these users are doing online. Check it out.
@dreamitwrite just released our first comic. Many of you who do this kind of work will find it very relatable. #webpublishing#content
Comic Strip: Web Publishing Water Cooler Chat
Female 1: The boss is really pissed! Female 2: What now?
Female 1: You messed up the home page links again. Female 2: What are you talking about?
Female 1: One points to the wrong page. The other has a 404 error. Female 2: OMG! Let me hurry up and fix that before our users start complaining.
Female 1: Cool! I also have an idea. Would you mind if I proof you before you publish? Female 2: Sure! I would love that. My plate is full. That would be very helpful.
Want to craft a compelling and engaging story, narrative, plot, or concept? We all do as content creators. This tried-and-true practice never fails and is always worth repeating. It all boils down to the @DreamItWrite 5 Ws.
Slideshow: 1. WHO? First, you must define your main character, your customer, your persona, or your target audience. 2. WHAT? What does your audience need or want to know? As you draft your message, consider which tone, writing style will best suit your project. 3. WHEN? When is the ideal time to share your message? Morning, afternoon, evening? Is there a deadline? Do they need to make an appointment?/ 4. WHERE? Where is the best place to reach your audience? The answer will likely vary and might even include using a multichannel approach (e.g., social media, blog, website). 4. WHY? To wrap up this series, also consider why your message is important and why it matters.
