Celebrating 51 years of Nightlife, released on this day in 1974 - the first Thin Lizzy album to feature the classic lineup. Featuring timeless tracks like “Still in Love with You” and “She Knows.”

The cover, painted by Jim Fitzpatrick, shows a sleek panther prowling a glowing city. While often thought to represent Phil Lynott, Fitzpatrick revealed it was inspired by the Black Panthers and influential figures such as Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr.

Celebrating what would have been Philomena Lynott's 95th birthday, 'Philomena (Acoustic Demo)' - the third track from '74-75-Night Life / Fighting' - is out now along with the official visualiser live on YouTube: https://youtu.be/bAa-txE4sTg

'Philomena' is a heartfelt tribute written by Phil Lynott for his mother, Philomena. It originally started as a rough jam recorded at Phil's flat at Embassy House, West Hampstead along with keyboard player, Jan Schelhaas, and was featured on the original 'Nightlife' album. The track was originally titled ‘Home Boys, It’s Home.’

This previously unreleased acoustic version of ‘Philomena' was recorded on 20 August 1974 - Phil's 25th birthday - at the iconic Olympic Studios in London. #NightLifeFighting
