In this episode, I went as a solo female to remote China to find the Chinese Mountain Tribe - the Yi minority.

No tour guide, no transportation booked - just me, very limited information I found online, and my rusty Mandarin, trying to find my way deep into the mountains in an attempt to find them.

You won’t see tourist attractions on my series as I will be venturing into remote places to meet minority tribes and climbing up mountain cliffs, and I hope you guys like it!! 🇨🇳🔥🔥🔥

The last time I went to mainland China was over a decade ago so my Mandarin is a bit rusty so please bear with! And I had a mini outbreak of acnes but you would see them getting better as we go along the series 😂

This Sunday, I’ll be featured on the No.1 documentary-style TV show in the Philippines: Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho!

What started as a simple reel about my personal journey flying back to the Philippines to find my childhood nanny after 22 years, somehow turned into this incredible opportunity that I never ever thought, in a million years, would happen to me!

This was the most difficult video I’ve ever made. Everyone there had so many personal stories to share. I was only there for a few hours but this is their everyday lives. Seeing and hearing their stories broke my heart. When you're there, you smell the smell, you feel the vibration of the bridge thats their home's ceiling, you see how people work in piles of rubbish just to provide for their families. Yet, they were still smiling, laughing, having fun! Such strong people 🙏🏽
