Nobody grows those plants anymore. Not because they stopped working. Because a plant that feeds itself generates no recurring revenue. So thousands of self-seeding perennial food crops were quietly removed from commercial availability.
The Forgotten Plot exists to bring them back.
Ancient grains. Heirloom vegetables. Forgotten root crops. Drought-proof plants that fed civilisations through conditions that would wipe out every modern garden in a season.

Just the growing knowledge your great-grandparents carried that nobody thought to write down.
