I caught an unexpected case of the belly laughs in this weeks live show when I recounted a line from William Whitaker in his Disputation on Holy Scripture. And I said I would post it on X so I want to remain faithful to my promise.

But I was was mistaken. I said he was engaging Robert Bellarmine, but it was Thomas Stapleton he said was stupid:

"But God (says [Stapleton]) teaches us through the church, and by no other medium: therefore there is no more certain authority than that of the church.

I answer: His own words prove that God’s authority is more certain. For the authority of him who teaches is greater than that of him through whom one is taught. God teaches us through the church: therefore the authority of God is greater than that of the church. I am surprised that Stapleton should have been so stupid as not to see that, if it be God who teaches through the church, the authority of God must be greater than that of the church. Many have asked when the third and final part of the Rock & Sand rebuttal will be up. Please, be patient. I understand some people really love videos like that, but one must understand the amount of time it takes to bring you 1-1.5 hours of rebuttal like that.

Between parts 1 and 2, I have already put in over 115 hours (not including everything so far for part 3). The amount of historical research/reading that is required, footnote verification of Trenham's sources, planning, writing, recording, editing, etc. is a lot to make sure it's done right.

It's coming.

It's just taking longer than anticipated because, like with these types of things, you come across stuff you didn't previously know, which can send you down new paths of research. Which is exactly what happened in this case and I'm in the thick of it.

But I promise you it will be worth it. It will be quite long. Buckle up!

I removed today's video on sola fide and will re-upload after re-recording and being more precise and clear. A subscriber pointed out a point of not communicating effectively enough in the introduction and I don't want people to be misled. I appreciate this feedback and take stuff like clarity (which I always harp on) seriously. Serious enough to take down a video and put in the work to clarify.
