At My Sister's House Podcast
In honor of Black History Month, we pause to acknowledge the sacred strength of Black women.
Women who carried dignity in the face of degradation.
Who held their heads high while enduring the unthinkable:
the loss of children, the violence of rape, abuse, separation, and death.
They mothered movements.
They prayed nations forward.
They built futures while grieving their own.
We stand on the shoulders of women who fought battles many of us will never fully comprehend, and yet their courage lives in our bones.
Today, we salute, praise, and honor our foremothers.
Especially the Black woman;
the backbone, the bridge, the believer.
Because of you, we are. ✊🏾

Black History is not just a month, but it is the memory of survival written on the backs of Black women.
Women who maintained dignity while the world tried to strip it away.
Who endured the loss of children, rape, abuse, forced labor, and death—yet still nurtured generations.
They were not only survivors.
They were architects of freedom.
We walk in opportunities they bled for.
We speak with voices that they were silenced for.
We live dreams they dared to imagine in the dark.
This month, we honor our foremothers.
We honor their strength.
We honor their sacrifice.
We honor the Black woman.
And we vow to carry it forward. 🖤

Today marks the beginning of Black History Month.
Over the next 28 days, we recognize the contributions, leadership, innovation, and perseverance of Black individuals whose work has shaped industries, communities, and culture. Black history is not confined to the past. It is active, evolving, and deeply relevant to the present.
This month is an opportunity to reflect, to listen, and to lead with greater awareness and intention. Honoring history also means investing in equity, opportunity, and meaningful progress.
As we acknowledge the legacy, may we also commit to building a future worthy of it.
