Mike Dawes is currently touring Australia, and was kind enough to ask me to join him on stage in Adelaide last night! FUN FACT: This show was actually one of the biggest headliners that Mike’s ever done (so far) 🫣

Getting the message from Mike asking me to play was honestly a little daunting for me, as this is the complete anthesis of what I normally do with a guitar. Blues rock, on a Fender Stratocaster in Standard E, improving to a seated audience of 900+ people with a super transparent compressed clean tone.

We jammed a little improv section over Mike’s rendition of Slow Dancing In A Burning Room, and it ended up going great! I had A LOT of fun, and I appreciate Mike for believing in me to pull this off, as well as hanging out over the past couple days!

The debut headline tour is officially and unfortunately over 🫶

Thank you to every single person who came out to support us in what has been one of the most enjoyable and fulfilling experiences in my life so far. These were hands down the best shows we have ever played as a band, and that is all thanks to you 🖤

This headline tour really tested our resilience and threw everything that it possibly could at us. Fire alarms going off during the show, guitars getting lost on flights, gear dying mid set, SD cards being corrupted and losing footage. I’ll be doing long-form content and showing you guys everything that happened over on the channel, so be sure to have a look out for that because it’s actually insane.

Despite all of that, we fixed every problem swiftly, pushed through and STILL managed to put on what I think were our best shows to date. All the years of playing guitar, making videos, writing music, and then touring with my favourite bands, all of that experience came down to this tour.

For what feels like the first time in a very, very long time, I’m not ashamed and proud to say that I am proud of not only myself, but every single person on this package. Whether that be the touring party or the people behind the scenes that made this is a reality. We fkn crushed it, this is one for the history books.

Aspects of these songs have been waiting to see the light of day since 2023, and we are so excited to be able to finally share it with you

It had to be right, that’s all we’ve ever wanted from the start. There is not a single hint of compromise on these songs, they are exactly the way they are because we wanted every single millisecond to be that way. We flew across the world not just once, but twice, to create this music and the visuals that accompany it
