My message is simple. You can eat whatever you want to lose or gain weight. It's all about calorie balance. If you burn more than you eat you will lose weight but 2000 calories of chocolate doesn't have the same effect on the body as 2000 calorie balanced diet. Specially the type of food will severely effect your satiety, mood, hormones and energy levels. When trying to lose or gain weight, note that "weight" consist of 4 main elements. Water weight, actual food weight in your stomach/intestines, fat weight and muscle weight.
While I do "only one food for 3 days" challenges, I try to find the effects of certain foods on satiety, mood and energy levels for daily life and training. These are only done for short term and should not be replicated.
