If you’re in NSW and own or plan to acquire firearms, this affects you directly.
Don’t ignore it.

A Jewish security group warned police weeks before the Bondi attack that a Hanukkah event at the beach carried a high terror risk.
That warning was documented.
It referenced lone-actor jihadist attacks.
It referenced ASIO’s own threat assessment.
And yet, the attack still happened.
Now we’re being told the answer is more gun laws.
More protest laws.
More restrictions on people who weren’t involved.
That doesn’t sit right.
If authorities had specific warnings, the failure wasn’t a lack of legislation.
It was a failure to act on intelligence that already existed.
Real prevention happens before tragedy.
Not after, when fear is high and emotions are raw.
Victims deserve honesty.
And the public deserves accountability, not rushed laws that miss the point.

NSW shooters and supporters. This matters.
There’s an open NSW Legislative Assembly ePetition calling for proportionate, evidence-based, and consultative firearms policy.
After the Bondi attacks, some public statements have blurred the line between criminal or terrorist acts and licensed, law-abiding firearms owners. That’s not supported by evidence, and it’s not fair.
Licensed firearms owners in NSW already face strict checks, ongoing compliance, and heavy oversight. We do not support terrorism or extremism, and we do support strong action against real criminals.
This petition asks Parliament to do two simple things:
Stop associating licensed firearms owners with terrorism or extremist activity.
Make sure firearms laws are proportionate, evidence-based, and clearly separate lawful owners from criminals.
If you’re a NSW resident, please sign.
You’ll need to confirm you live in NSW and enter your name and email. Your details are not made public.
Signing takes about 30 seconds.
It sends a clear message: law-abiding citizens are not the problem.

What happened at Bondi Beach yesterday was an act of terrorism.
Sixteen people were killed. Dozens were injured. Families and children were targeted while attending a peaceful community event. A child was among the dead. This was a deliberate antisemitic attack and it must be called exactly that.
No Australian should be murdered for their faith. No community should live in fear of gathering in public.
We also acknowledge the courage shown on the day. A bystander stepped in. First responders ran toward danger. Lives were saved because people refused to look away.
There will be a lot of noise in the coming days. Emotional reactions. Political talking points. Media narratives. What matters right now is truth, accountability, and respect for those who were lost.
Violence against innocent people is never justified. Terrorism is never excusable. Hate has no place here. I will speak more once the dust settles and facts are clear.

Right now, over 107,000 Queenslanders have already signed the petition calling for a Castle Law in our state.
If you believe every Queenslander has the right to defend their home and family from intruders, this is your moment to add your name.
