“Be still, and know that I am God…” Psalm 46:10
“Stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.” Job 37:14
God knew that our lives could be hectic and overwhelming at times and we would need to occasionally pause and listen. Getting out in nature rejuvenates both body and mind. Through nature, God speaks to everyone in a language that knows no barrier; a language of order, beauty, and harmony. Like an artist whose work is recognizable, God has placed his signature on everything he created ("Through everything God made, we can clearly see his invisible qualities..." Romans 1:20). Through nature we can reconnect with God and be refreshed and recharged to return to our daily routines.

Ambling toward the Alpine
As I am recovering from a hiking injury, I’ve been watching lots of hiking related content and found this video by Mr. Dinosaur, @GC-Hiker quite helpful. Had I followed his advice to “watch every step” I probably wouldn’t have tripped on a log and sprained my knee and ankle. https://youtu.be/AmDDQAKDQ4A

Ambling toward the Alpine
On our most recent hike, we spotted a black bear on the far side of a meadow. We were talking normally and when it heard us, it instantly ran off in the opposite direction. We never saw it again. It was a good reminder to always be prepared for wildlife encounters. This video by @rei gives helpful advice for hiking in bear country: https://youtu.be/SHZ-prhA7E0
