Welcome to MountainsRiverSea! I'm Jamie and I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of South Carolina.
My entire life I’ve loved hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, camping and exploring the wilderness areas. My parents got me out there from a very young age.
I want to share and connect with others, help others get outside and discover amazing places in the great outdoors, and celebrate the beauty of the natural world. I provide videos of kayak reviews, gear and product reviews, trail reviews and hikes, travel info, things I’ve learned of any beginner-friendly how-to videos I can think of, as well as scenic and cinematic films highlighting our many adventures in this beautiful area I call home. And, more often than not, we are joined by our sweet rescues Ollie (hound-lab mix) and Rascal (Dachshund mix).

Check out my new video! reviewing my favorite trail hikers the Merrell Moab Speed. Here are some pictures from the past few days of me and the pups on the trails and coming across a couple of Eastern box turtles. With all the rain in the past week here in SC and the humidity finally going up, the turtles have started to slowly come out again!
I always take a picture with my foot next to the turtle (for reference) so I can remember about how big it was. I’ve been able to document some of the same box turtles for almost 7 years now here in our local forest. I give them names to help me remember who they are based upon what I see in their patterns. Here are some cute pictures of “Comet” and “Dolphin”! 🐢🥹❤️
I got the shoelaces switched out from the bright orange laces! 👍🙌😂

Finally finished my Pink Moon Full Moon video!🙌🌖 only a month later 🤦♀️ but just in time for saying bye to April. What a beautiful month it was. This April 1st footage was so pretty and the bird sounds and the night sounds were incredible in person, hope the iPhone did some justice in capturing it. Hope y’all like it! And Happy May! 🌻
