After lots of advice, research, and careful thought, we’re planning a change. Our current channel name doesn’t quite reflect who we are and what we do anymore. We’ve considered updating it before, but held off because it’s familiar to all of you amazing supporters.

Now we’ve reached a point where, to keep growing, we need a name that better represents our content and journey.

Hi friends,

Thank you so much for all your comments on our recent questions—we genuinely appreciate every bit of your input. It really means a lot to us.

The reason we’ve been asking is because we want to grow the channel: reaching new viewers, welcoming more people into the birding community, and helping fund our videos (and the van maintenance… which has already cost us £1.5k so far this month!).

So, we’re asking for your help again—because you’re such an important part of this journey. We’re thinking about adding some new additional content to help grow our audience. Don’t worry though—our birding adventures aren’t going anywhere and will continue as normal!

What do you think yourselves, and people in the wider birding community would enjoy watching?
Funny moments? Educational videos? Fun facts? Or something completely different?

Also… our membership idea might be coming together in the next few days!

We’re making a few small changes to help grow the channel — but as our loyal (and much appreciated!) audience, we’ll always keep you in the loop so you know what to expect.

First update: we’re shortening the intro on each video… so we get straight into the action much faster! 🎬 look out for this next Thursday and let us know what you think then.

Thanks so much for your feedback on our last question — it really helps shape the channel!
We’ll be sticking with one longer video each week, as over 90% of you preferred that. 🐦

Additionally We would like to share the occasional shorter video now and again if I spot something interesting — even if it’s not a new bird for the year list, just something we really enjoyed seeing.

I’m also thinking of adding a few more fact-based / educational videos. If I do, I’ll likely post these on Sundays.

Hello everyone! We hope you all had a fantastic Christmas 🎄

We’ve got a new video coming out today at 1pm (GMT) – our final birding trip of the year, so be sure to check that out!

Then tomorrow at midday, whilst everyone is nursing a hangover, we have another video dropping where we look back at 2025 and ahead to 2026, sharing our plans and what’s coming next for the channel.
