Hi, Jennifer here, the person behind MiRide. I'm writing this post today to talk about some more technical backend stuff that most viewers of the MiRide channel don't get to hear about often.

MiRide's most recent York Region Transit video (see linked) was published as an A/B test to determine its viewer engagement rates based on title formatting. Three title candidates were active as part of this test, with varying levels of conciseness and information displayed:

1. "[EVENT, 4K] YRT - Operations Maintenance and Storage Facility (OMSF) Tour (New Flyer XD60 2601)"
2. "[EVENT, 4K] YRT - Miller Transit OMSF Tour (New Flyer XD60 2601)"
3. "[EVENT, 4K] YRT - OMSF Tour (New Flyer XD60 2601)"

Findings reveal that the third candidate received the highest watch time share, a total of 45.9% of all views this video has gathered all by itself. This video will now exclusively use the third title candidate going forward.

If you watched this video and saw it with one of the three titles above, thank you! Your engagement with this video has helped provide invaluable feedback to better refining MiRide's future UX as part of a continued effort to make MiRide more accessible to transit enthusiasts and viewers alike.

Thank you for your continued support for MiRide, a Greeism subdivision.

With 2025 finally wrapping up, I've put together a collage consisting of a handful of the transit photos I've taken this year! I was hoping to do a breakdown of all the significant happenings in each month, but there weren't as many events that happened in the early parts of the year that I'd hoped to see.

2025 was certainly a year for change and there was quite a lot of it. From the introduction of new transit vehicles, seasonal/event design wraps and many new transit lines, to the bittersweet farewell of the old and venerable that took their final bows as the year went on... nonetheless, there was certainly a lot to unpack over the months.

Happy New Years Eve, looking forward to what 2026 has in store!

Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈

As someone who identifies as LGBTQ+ (MtF Transgender and Lesbian!), I am very thankful for the diversity and welcoming nature of the #TTC and many other transit agencies alike.

MiRide

Welcome to the MiRide YouTube channel, a Greeism Subdivision established on the 5th of November, 2023 (05/11/23).

MiRide aims to offer Canadian public transit content in the form of point-of-view (POV) videos and photos, primarily presenting transit agencies present within the province of Ontario.

Videos are usually uploaded every four days, showcasing a variety of transit agencies with each new video. MiRide photos are uploaded under the Greeism Flickr account, and new photos usually go up on an as-taken basis.

( COMMENTING GUIDELINES )
1. Be respectful to all posters - this channel is LGBTQ+ friendly! We are all people on the other side of your screens.
2. Please read the description in full before commenting on any MiRide video. Comments should be relevant to the spotlighted transit agency or unit in the video.
3. Writing etiquette is expected from all viewers and immaturity will not be tolerated in the MiRide comment sections, comments lacking productive reciprocation (such as saying "first") will be flagged for removal.
4. Comments discussing transit simulator video games (such as those found on Roblox) are strictly prohibited and will be removed. Take your gaming conversations somewhere else.
5. MiRide offers its comment sections to be a free space for all to express their opinions on public transit. While this rule is generally lenient, please be respectful to those working in the industry.

As of September 2025, MiRide is available on Bluesky, Facebook, Flickr (as Greeism), and YouTube. MiRide currently does not have any plans to extend its reach to other social media platforms, such as Instagram, in the immediate future.
