I'll bet you have creative ideas trapped inside your mind. I make Byte Sized Engineering videos to inspire, educate, and empower you to make your creative ideas a reality. You are more capable than you think, and I want to help you release your inner maker!
I know how it feels to want to make something I’m excited and passionate about, but also feel overwhelmed by not knowing where to start. I’ve unlocked the secret to getting past this feeling of being stuck. In my videos I show you how to take complex problems and break them down into smaller, more manageable “byte sized” pieces.
My name is Zach and I have been making things my whole life. I worked full time as an electrical engineer for many years improving my problem solving skills. I wanted to share my passion for making things with other people so in 2016 I started this YouTube channel.
More information can be found on my website www.bytesizedengineering.com/about. You can also find me on Instagram @bytesizedzach.

No matter how hard I try I can't memorize the resistor color chart. So I was left with no choice but to over engineer a ridiculous computer vision system using the new Arduino Uno Q. I slide any through hole resistor and it instantly tells me the value and tolerance. Now I can quickly sort through my box of resistors!

I even had cameraman Pat help me move the workbenches out of the way so this monstrosity could actually fit in the shop.
