🇵🇹✨ Happy Portugal Day from the #TogetherWithTemis Family! 🇳🇬❤️🇵🇹

Today, June 10th, the entire country is celebrating Dia de Portugal, de Camões e das Comunidades Portuguesas!

As a beautiful way of integrating into the local customs we decided to actually prepare Bacalhau today 😂

👵👴Custom says there are over 365 different ways to cook it, so we are slowly checking them off our list! (Swipe to see how it came out)🥰🥰

Happy Portugal Day to our amazing community! Viva Portugal! 🇵🇹❤️

🇳🇬❤️🇵🇹 Did you know that June in Lisbon, PORTUGAL is basically a massive, one-month-long street party and city-sponsored wedding party?! 😁 😁

If you are a Nigerian who knows how to throw parties, then experiencing the Festas de Lisboa is for you! 💃💃💃 The whole city transforms with colorful decorations, music blaring from every corner, and the incredible aroma of grilled sardines in the air. 😊 😊
Someone even said, "Just step outside in the evening and the smell of grilled sardines and music will guide you straight to the party closest to you" 🤣 🤣🤣 🤣

If you have been living in Portugal for years, we bet you didn’t know these 3 wild facts about June: 😊 😊 😊

1️⃣ Santo António is not the official patron saint of Lisbon, although the month's biggest celebration is named after him! 😄😄

Everyone assumes Saint Anthony (Santo António) is the official patron saint of Lisbon because the huge June 13th holiday is named after him. 😄😄Plot twist: He isn’t!
The official patron saint is actually Saint Vincent. Anthony was just born here and is such a legendary matchmaker that he stole all the spotlight!😄😄

2️⃣ The "No-Smell" Basil Rule! 🪴😏

You’ll see street stalls everywhere selling a cute little bush basil called Manjerico. Local custom says you must never smell it directly with your nose, or the plant will wither and die! 😄😄 To catch the sweet scent of the leaves, you have to gently stroke the leaves with your palm and then smell your hand.

3️⃣ Ultimate Weddings (Sponsored by the City!😱) 👰🤵

On June 12th, 16 real couples will get married at the exact same time at the Sé Cathedral. It’s a massive, highly competitive public application process, and the city sponsors the entire wedding ceremony! 😱
The couples often go through a 3-month bootcamp to learn etiquette and choreography before their big day is broadcast on national TV.
An elite collective wedding!😊😊😊

On our channel, we are capturing how our family is integrating into this vibrant culture, blending our own Nigerian🇳🇬 roots with these beautiful Portuguese🇵🇹 traditions 🪵✨ Follow our journey by subscribing to our channel: youtube.com/@togetherwithtemis?sub_confirmation=1

Let us know in the comments 👇: Which of these facts shocked you the most?😄😄

And if you're in Portugal, which neighborhood Party! Party!! (arraial) Are we bumping into you this weekend?💃💃💃

THE "KASALA" HAS FINALLY BURST. WE NEED TO TALK!

Family, we know we’ve been quiet on here for a few weeks, but we’ve been behind the scenes doing some massive, deep-dive research about the headlines floating around right now, causing pure panic.

If you’ve opened your phone lately, you’ve probably seen the terrifying rumors:

💡 We are taking you on a visual road trip all the way from Lagos (through Mile 12 and the Third Mainland Bridge) straight to the April 25th Bridge in Portugal to expose what is really happening.

Whether you are looking at a Student Visa, D7, D2, or Family Reunification, this structural shift affects ALMOST ALL VISA TYPES.

🚨We are going to break down the 3 Silent Application Killers no one else on YouTube is telling you about, and give you the exact survival blueprint to beat the bottleneck.
