Good morning Beauties 🩵 How well have you followed along lately? 🤓 What does Matrixyl mainly help support in the skin?

Okay… when I first saw the results I genuinely had a mini crisis for 10 seconds 😭😂

But the more I thought about it, the more interesting I actually found the whole concept of biological aging.

Because this isn’t really about “looking old.”

It’s more about what’s happening underneath the surface - how stress, sleep, UV exposure, inflammation, pollution, hormones, diet, travel, overworking, and lifestyle can affect the skin over time.

And honestly? That perspective changed skincare for me a bit.

I think we’ve been trained to focus SO much on:
❌ wrinkles
❌ lines
❌ instant visible results

…instead of asking:
✨ Is my skin functioning well?
✨ Is it resilient?
✨ Is the barrier healthy?
✨ Can it recover properly?
✨ Am I supporting it long-term?

That’s why the whole “longevity skincare” space fascinates me right now.
Not because I expect a cream to magically reverse aging overnight lol - but because I love the idea of skincare supporting skin quality over years, not just making it look temporarily smoother for one evening.

Also let’s be real… I travel a lot, sleep badly sometimes, stress too much and definitely went through phases of over-exfoliating in my early 20s 💀 so honestly the scan was probably a wake-up call more than anything.

Now I’m just curious to see if consistency, barrier support, antioxidants, SPF and longevity-focused ingredients can actually shift things over time 👀

One thing I’ve learned with eye care is that it’s usually not ONE miracle product - it’s layering products with different functions that makes the biggest difference over time.

For me, the under eye area is where I focus the most on:
💦 Hydration
🌱 Antioxidants
🧬 Strengthening the skin barrier
✨ Keeping the area looking smooth + bright without feeling heavy

I also think people underestimate how important texture is when it comes to eye creams. I personally cannot handle super greasy formulas during the day because makeup separates instantly on me 😭 so I always try balancing lightweight hydration + a sealing cream on top.

Another thing I’ve become obsessed with is using ingredients that support the skin long term instead of only giving temporary glow. Peptides, niacinamide, caffeine, ceramides, antioxidants… those are honestly the categories I come back to again and again.

And YES I rotate products constantly depending on:
👉🏼 Sleep
👉🏼 Allergies
👉🏼 Dryness
👉🏼 Hormones
👉🏼 How thin my under eyes are looking that week hahaha

Skincare really is never one-size-fits-all 🫶🏼

Okay but WHY are my hands suddenly getting more sun exposure than the rest of my body 😭☀️

Ever since becoming a stroller mom I swear my hands are getting darker no matter how much SPF I apply. And before anyone says “wear gloves” … absolutely not 😂

I started going down a rabbit hole looking for UV patches / cooling patches specifically for hands because it feels like such an overlooked area when it comes to sun protection + aging. We focus SO much on face SPF, peptides, retinol etc. but our hands are literally exposed all day long.

Also can we appreciate how unreal Copenhagen looks right now 🥹🌸

The weather, the parks, the cherry blossoms… everything feels alive again and my daily walks have genuinely become my favorite part of the day lately.

Now I’m basically trying to balance:
✨ protecting my skin
✨ romanticizing stroller walks
✨ and not overheating in the sun hahaha

Spring really does something to my mood every single year 💐

Good morning Beauties 🩵 Let's see how well you have followed along this week 🤓 What does "biological skin age" mainly reflect?

I fear I may have entered my longevity skincare era… 🧬✨

The last few days I’ve been testing products, learning about ingredients on a MUCH deeper level and getting my skin analyzed beyond just “does it glow?”

And honestly? I’m fascinated.

Things like:
👉🏼 Supporting collagen production
👉🏼 Improving skin function over time
👉🏼 Strengthening the skin barrier
👉🏼 Targeting texture + fine lines BEFORE they fully form

…instead of only trying to “fix” aging later.

I also learned more about ingredients like Matrixyl + LHA and why they’re so hyped for smoother texture, pores and overall glow 👀

And can we discuss how skincare prep before makeup genuinely changes EVERYTHING?? My makeup sat SO much better after focusing on hydration + skin prep first.

Also yes… I fully that girl wearing a sheet mask in bed before dinner in Paris 😌✨

Safe to say I’m leaving this whole experience with:
✨ a stronger skin barrier mission
✨ a new ingredient obsession
✨ and approximately 14 more skincare opinions than before hahaha

Okayyyy so after spending the last days learning about longevity skincare and getting my skin analyzed on a CELLULAR level… I officially have 500 new thoughts about skincare 🧬

Apparently your skin’s “biological age” is influenced by:
☀️ UV exposure
😵 Stress
💨 Pollution
🥗 Diet
😴 Sleep
🌦 Climate

…which honestly explains a LOT about my life lately hahaha.

The craziest part was learning that longevity skincare isn’t really about looking younger overnight, it’s about helping your skin function better for longer. Basically supporting the skin cells themselves instead of only focusing on wrinkles after they appear.

I also learned about ingredients targeting the mitochondria in skin cells (the energy source of the cell!!) and I genuinely felt like I was in a skincare sci-fi movie.

ALSO… my wrinkle + texture results were weirdly good but my barrier said:
“girl please drink water and sleep” 😭

Lmk in the comments, do you know your biological age? 💬👇🏼

Okay wait… the texture difference??? ✨

I know lighting and angles can change a LOT, so I always try to be realistic with skincare results, but the biggest thing I’ve noticed lately is how much smoother and more even my skin feels overall. Especially around my cheeks and mouth area.

I’ve been testing the new longevity skincare line from Lancôme and my DRY skin has been LOVING the thick cream + serum combo. The cream especially gives that “wrapped in hydration” feeling that makes your skin look healthier instead of just shiny for 10 minutes

I also focusing less on harsh exfoliation and more on barrier support has changed my skin so much over time. Texture for me has always been connected to irritation + dehydration, not just clogged pores.

Anywayyyy I’m lowkey obsessed with watching my skin slowly become more smooth and glowy lately 🥹
