Jesus taught His disciples to pray for God's will to be done "on earth as it is in heaven". God's desire has not changed; it is still His intention that His will be done in the earth. It is through prayer that we have the privilege of partnering with our Father to see His light overtake darkness, healing swallow up disease, and peace cause torment to flee. As we spend time in God's Presence we learn His heart and grow in following in the footsteps of Jesus - doing what we see the Father do, and saying what we hear the Father say.

Israel was acquainted with the acts of God, Moses was acquainted with His ways (see Psalm 103:7). The acts of God that Moses saw led him to a deeper understanding and knowledge of God’s nature. Israel, however, saw the same miracles but didn’t let those miracles shape how they viewed and trusted God when facing future problems. The testimonies we see in Scripture and in our lives are to reveal to us who God is, establishing our trust in Him and confidence in His goodness. Our circumstances don’t change who God is. He is perfectly faithful and we can trust Him.

We took time yesterday during our Sunday services to communicate our grief and repent for the areas in which we have failed and contributed to pain and mistrust by not speaking out about Shawn Bolz’ ministry earlier. I have many things that I take ownership of and apologize for in this situation to our church, our students, and to our global family. I acknowledge my failure, and I want to convey that I, and our house, will do better. I pray that the Lord will bring healing to our hearts, our Church, and the greater Body of Christ.
