☀️ well, well, well…back with another Monthly Text Post!

May was pretty successful; I managed to produce 2 reviews, 1 impression video, & 2 news-y topical videos.

Although my schedule for the Batman Arkham Marathon is still REALLY far behind, I’m going to keep pushing through until I finish the LEGO Batman video. I’m pretty happy with how the Arkham City video turned out and am currently chopping away at Arkham Origins 🦇

This game and Arkham Knight are the titles I’m excited to dive into the most. Mostly because of the negative reputation these games have. I loved Arkham Origins when I played it back in 2014 but how does it fare now? And my opinion of Arkham Knight was pretty sour back then but I’m going to try my best to play it with an open mind, hopefully by mid-June I’ll start it 📅

My impression video on NBA THE RUN definitely came out of nowhere. Receiving the private Beta code was dope and I may pick it up on launch. My schedule is already booked as is as I plan to cover:

🎮 Arkham Origins > Arkham Knight > LEGO Batman > Yoshi Switch 2 > 007: First Light

As for news-y topical videos, I said I wanted to do more of them after my Star Fox video and I had a lot of fun making the PlayStation Revival list. However, I might have to put them on pause just for a little bit 📰

Probably going to limit myself to one of those a month if a topic comes by. The editing process on those videos is as taxing as a normal Game Review but without the planning/writing process, I can get it out much faster. I’ll still keep them in mind if & when a topic pops up but I seriously want to catch up to the newest game releases.

That’s all I want to share for now, thank you again for stopping by. I appreciate any & all support I get on my videos. Until next time, take care & be well! 😄

🌼 Holy, I totally remembered to do the Monthly Text Post for May 😅

Anyways, let’s talk about April and what’s to come for May 👇

Video output did not meet my expectations but I still have my foot on the gas, constantly working on new videos. The biggest reason for this “slow down” is new opportunities or pivots I’m doing. For example, I had the intention of putting my 100% into the Batman Marathon before LEGO Batman drops 🦇

However, I signed up to Keymailer for a review code of Mouse P.I. for Hire (next review btw) and happened to get a code for Starfield in the meantime. Ironic how I put my Fallout: New Vegas video on hold and then, I put time aside to play Starfield 😂

I am extremely grateful for the opportunity but it definitely ate up a good 20-25 hours of my free time. Then, Mouse P.I. for Hire dropped in my inbox sometime between working on Starfield and Batman: Arkham Asylum simultaneously, so I’m still playing catch up in that regard 📹

Mouse & Starfield were obviously NOT on the agenda when I wrote last month’s Monthly Text post but when a new door opens, I am going to do everything to the best of my ability to deliver. The Batman Marathon is still on but it will be very delayed. I’m not going to stress myself out but I’m excited to dive into Arkham City, Origins, and Knight again before LEGO Batman 😁

REVIEW SCHEDULE: Mouse P.I. > Arkham City > Origins > Knight > LEGO Batman
*obviously, subject to change but this is the current plan 🎬

Another opportunity that popped up was the chance to play a preview build of Second Stone: The Legend of the Hidden World. It’s something I was working on behind-the-scenes with the devs to play it for the channel and share my thoughts on the build. It’s honestly a dope game and I cannot wait to see what the final/finished product will look like 🎮

Most recently, Nintendo dropped the Star Fox Direct and I made a thoughts video + a TikTok/short. I’m trying to get into the habit of making “news centric” videos more often as I believe they will help grow the channel. They do eat up a few hours or so but not as taxing as a scripted video. It’s all coming from the dome 🧠

Regarding Travis talks Comic Books, I definitely put it on the back burner for most of April. Starfield and the upcoming projects take precedence but I’m still committed to trying to grow the channel out. Casually but I’m slowly working through some backlog content/video ideas I’ve had in mind for awhile 📚

That’s all I have for now. Live Streaming is still on my mind but finding the time and energy to do it with my busy schedule is tough. Love and appreciate all the support on my videos. Be safe and be well everyone, I’ll talk to you guys very soon ♥️

🐣 I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter holiday, here’s another Monthly Text Post!
Coming up: current video projects, my 🆕 Comic Book channel ‪@travistalkscomics‬ , & the future of Live Streams.

Despite feeling SO BUSY in March doing some IRL shuffling, I managed to pump out four reviews; Resident Evil: Requiem, Scott Pilgrim EX, RUSHING BEAT X, and Life is Strange: Reunion. I feel extremely accomplished with the consistent content. I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon but I will try to take breaks in between. 🤪

Next, I plan to tackle the Batman Arkham games leading up to LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. Some of these games I haven’t played in over a decade, so I’m interested to see how my opinion on the cape crusader’s most famous titles has changed. 🦇

My Fallout: New Vegas video is put on pause at the moment, I feel the additional time needed to finish the game + making the video would not be worth it right now. I definitely want to revisit it at some point but my Fallout kick from Season 2 has wind down. ⚠️

🚨 NEW CHANNEL ALERT ‪@travistalkscomics‬ 🚨

That’s right, I started up a new channel called “Travis talks Comic Books,” pretty much talking about my current comic book reads and whatever else related to the hobby. I’m keeping it super chill and laid-back, videos will happen when I feel like it + editing is very basic. I have a TON of ideas planned for the channel but I’ll produce them when I have the free-time. 🔖

I won’t let this new channel affect any progress on “tvsonicgaming” content, it’s literally an outlet for me to talk and discuss comic books. Subscribe if you want, I understand the stigma comic books have about being “very difficult to get into” or confusing as a whole but those are just myths. Comic books are a lot easier to get into than most people give it credit for and hopefully you’ll see a “comic books for dummies” guide by your’s truly in the coming months. 📚

Lastly, my future with Live Streaming. It was super fun playing RE9 on stream the week it came out but playing a new game launch day or weekend does not yield high viewership numbers. People are gonna want to play the game themselves and often don’t want to watch some streamer play it before they do. 📺

Views and numbers aren’t everything but it’s a lot more taxing playing a game on stream than off, so I won’t be doing that for the foreseeable future. It definitely generated some great TikTok content. However, I’m going to keep streaming as a casual thing. 🎙️

However, games like Tomadachi Life, where you kind of make the experience out of your playthrough, is a totally different beast LOL I will try to stream it the day it comes out, probably in the evening on April 16th. I WILL be clip farming 😂🏠

That’s it for now, I have one more project to do before I tackle the Batman Arkham games. Thank you for stopping by and reading all this, subscribe to “Travis talks Comic Books” if you’d like. Otherwise, I’ll see y’all very soon. ♥️

🍀 Welcome back! Here’s the Monthly Text Post for March.

February was a very successful month content wise, released two collection videos (Sonic Jakks & PS4) and both reviews of Resident Evil 4. Lowkey was a little stressed about getting the reviews done before the week Requiem drops. I’m very happy with the final results despite low view counts.

TikToks/short form videos are still being adjusted. I’m happy that I’m editing less Podcast Clips and focusing more on original content or clipping my own videos. It feels more rewarding compared to my routine before 📹

I just finished my weekend streams of Resident Evil: Requiem. It was a blast, I had a lot of fun playing a new game on stream while still being able to record raw 60fps gameplay. I can see why I don’t do this anymore (streaming when a new game drops) simply because it does take a LOT more energy to stream a game compared to my usual routine of recording and taking notes in between sessions.

I think streaming will be more of a laid-back thing moving forward. I’ve done a handful of these “new game drop” streams where I play it the weekend it comes out but the amount of energy required vs. the reward/payoff hasn’t been worth it. I’ll just stream whenever I have the time and whatever game I want 🔴

I also feel like I can’t 100% take in the game while streaming because I’m trying to be entertaining for those watching, reading chat, and making sure the stream itself is stable. There’s like 5 more things I have to juggle compared to recording it offline.

I will give streaming a new game a try when Life is Strange: Reunion (LiS) drops but after that, I’m probably going to save streams for games older I want to play/revisit 👭

💸 Memberships have been turned on, something I’ve been hesitant to do for quite some time. I feel like the money I get from YouTube ads is enough but if I was going to stream, I felt like turning on Memberships for emotes and such was appropriate.

Anyone wants to throw your boy $1/month, you can do so. Or if you want to spend $3, you’ll get access to videos as soon as they finish rendering. This makes me finish videos before Friday night now 😂 but seriously, Memberships aren’t required but are available to those that want to show extra support.

As for what’s next, I have a few things in the oven cooking. Resident Evil: Requiem is definitely the next review. Scott Pilgrim EX comes out this week, so I’ll be busy with that next. Afterwards, it’s LiS time. If you watched the newest podcast episode (182), I started Fallout: New Vegas which I will work in between the three games. That video will probably come out after LiS.

That’s all I want to reveal for now. Thanks for stopping by, your time is greatly appreciated here. See y’all soon ♥️

Ayo! First Monthly Text Post of 2026, let’s get the ball rolling 💞

January was a very productive month. Top 10 Anticipated Games, PS5 Game Collection, news recap on Life is Strange (LiS) Reunion announcement, two Thoughts Videos on LiS & VR Gaming, and my review of Expedition 33. Not too shabby considering my busy IRL schedule 🤓

Collection videos will continue to be my bread and butter, I love showcasing all the stuff I have and the little stories that accompany them. PS4 is the next game collection but I already have a Sonic Jakks Pacific Collection video filmed. Just need to edit and it should be up this upcoming week! 🦔

I decided to return to making dedicated Thoughts Videos whenever news or topics come up. I would save them for the podcast as the discussions would be overall more interesting. However, to be timely and relevant when the news breaks, Thoughts Videos are making a comeback. They allow me to flex my editing skills and keep them fresh in between bigger review projects 🎬

Speaking of, Expedition 33 was so much fun to play! I had a lot of fun making the review, more informal writing style than usual but as my return to the RPG genre in a big way, I thought it was appropriate. 🗺️

Next up: Resident Evil 4 (2005). The script has been done for awhile but I wanted to make sure Expedition 33 got the spotlight. Currently working through Resident Evil 4 (2023) slowly but that will release hopefully before Resident Evil: Requiem drops at the end of the month. A review for RE9 will happen obviously, as soon as I get through the main story and whatever else I feel needs covering. 🧟

TikToks/Shorts are going to be taking a different approach starting now. As much as I like clipping the podcast, the reality is the clips don’t generate new viewers/listeners of the show. It sucks because I have SO MANY clips of the podcast 😭 I will continue to clip the podcast into OPUS Clip but not as much as I did before.

Instead, I’m going to put a little bit more time into dedicated short form videos. I still have fun doing them from time to time but I think pushing them a bit more to get exposure on Instagram/TikTok will benefit my presence on social media. It’s going to be a long uphill battle but I’ll try this out to see if anything changes.

To help with this, I will *hopefully* start streaming again starting as early as this month! I know, this is something I’ve been trying to push since 2024 and was unsuccessful last year. However, my brother helped set up his spare PC into a Streaming PC, allowing me to record raw gameplay without compromising the footage while streaming. I still have to test it out in action but I will announce a YouTube/Twitch live stream at least 24 hours before I go live. Keep in touch on my socials (@tvsonicgaming) or on here in the YouTube Posts/Community section for updates 🔴

The big game I want to stream after a test stream is Resident Evil: Requiem. It’s my Most Anticipated Game of the Year + I think the spooky/scary moment will do amazing on TikTok 😂 I remember streaming The Last of Us Part 2 & Ghost of Tsushima back in the day without Face Cam to “preserve” the gameplay but if the dual PC setup works, I can have the best of both worlds.

That’s all I want to reveal for now. I clearly have big plans and ambitions for “tvsonicgaming” moving forward and I am very confident I can get it all done. It’s going to take a lot of time and work but I think it’ll all be worth it. Thank you for reading as always, your support means the world for this longtime content creator with a small audience. I truly appreciate it. See y’all very soon ✌️

Over the past few months, I’ve been really down mentally. Between my personal life and my videos, it’s been a struggle being nice to myself. The constant worrying about my future as a 27-year-old Bachelor’s Degree graduate in the USA is NOT fun 😭

I feel like there’s always something more I can do to improve myself, my content, etc. I know I’m only human and there’s only so much I can do when I write, record, & edit everything. Possibly a sign I’m “overworking” myself.

But I do realize I had some pretty amazing opportunities this year because of my growth as a creator. I was able to work with the Hershey Company to promote the Pokémon collaboration in June. Then, a few months later, I collaborated with dbrand on the Killswitch 2 & its updated version.

Attending the Long Island Retro Gaming in August as a Press Pass holder. Lastly, the folks at Retro Fighters sent over a BattleGC Pro Controller. Forever grateful to have had the privilege of checking out these products & attending LI Retro.

I am extremely optimistic about my future and the future of this channel. I already have videos planned through March but it’s all about putting in the work to meet those deadlines. All of my free-time is eaten up by YouTube & videos which sometimes makes me question: how long can I keep doing this? I love the creative process on top of playing & analyzing video games but if this can’t pay the bills by the time I’m 30, I might have to hang it up.

I try to not think about that too much but like I said, I’m very excited for my future. Thank you for sticking around, the support I receive truly means the world. I hope you guys had a fun & safe New Years. Cheers 🥂
