I hope this weekend brings you a little rest, a little sunshine, and a few sweet moments with the people you love. Life moves so quickly, and it’s the simple days spent with our favorite people that are often the ones we end up treasuring the most. So take time to enjoy them this weekend.

Dear friends,

Another year is here. 
How they all seem to arrive so fast these days.
I have been reflecting on the year that is now behind us. 2025 was the first full year I shared consistently on YouTube, from January through December, without a hiatus. In the years prior to 2025, I only showed up to celebrate the big seasons and the holidays we all enjoy. This time last year, I made a commitment to myself—and in many ways to you—to share more of the everyday moments, because they are truly moments that bring me joy, Your friendship here has just made them even more meaningful and dear.

I do not have much of an agenda in sharing this today, other than to simply say thank you. Thank you for spending your time with me. Thank you for showing up here in 2025 when I showed up. It has meant more to me than I can properly put into words.
This community is truly what keeps me inspired to create, to share my home, and to invite you into this little world of mine.

I have big plans for the year ahead. Plans to share more, connect more, inspire more, and hopefully bring even more joy your way.

I have taken a couple of weeks at the start of this year to rest my body and my mind after the hustle and bustle of the holidays. It was not a planned break, but one I needed, so I can return refreshed and show up as my best for this beautiful community.

I will be back with videos soon, and I hope you will be here too.

I have some very sad news to share with you all. If you follow me on instagram you may already know, but my sweet Stella passed away this weekend after suffering a sudden stroke. 

She was such a big part of my life and this channel, always right by my side in so many of our videos. I know so many of you loved seeing her just as much as I loved sharing her with you.

This has been a heartbreaking loss, and I’m taking things a little slower right now as I grieve and adjust. Thank you for always being such a kind and supportive community. 

It means so much to me to know that Stella touched so many hearts beyond our home. ❤️


I will miss her forever.

My heart just aches today.

As many of you know I call the Texas Hill Country my home, on July 4th, the river experienced some of the worst flooding we’ve seen in a long, long time.

Thank you to everyone who has checked in on me. I’m safe, but many in our community are not. The devastation is real, and we are all grieving.

A sweet little church camp, where giggles and bedtime prayers once filled the cabins, was swallowed up by the floodwaters before anyone had time to blink. 27 precious girls are still missing

In a matter of 36 hours they have rescued and recovered over 800 people. We have true heroes and community here in the hill country. And across our region, many more families are facing unbearable loss, daughters, sons, parents, and friends.

The helicopters haven’t stopped. While I am thankfully out of harms way, I do live very close, less than 2 miles from the river, and I can hear rescue helicopters searching right now as I type this.

I don’t have the right words, but I know the power of prayer. So I’m asking, please lift them up.

Pray for the little ones still out there.
Pray for the mamas and daddies waiting by the phone.
Pray for the first responders searching every riverbank.
Pray for the families whose lives will never be the same.

Your prayers, your kindness, your care, they matter more than you know.
