In a massive development in the #TwishaSharma death case, the Madhya Pradesh High Court has quashed the anticipatory bail granted to former judge Giribala Singh, Twisha’s mother-in-law, clearing the way for the CBI to take her into custody. The court’s decision comes amid intensifying scrutiny over the alleged dowry death case that has shaken the country.

The CBI, which recently took over the investigation, has already secured custody of Twisha’s husband Samarth Singh and recreated the events of the night Twisha was found dead. The High Court was informed that Giribala Singh allegedly failed to cooperate with investigators despite multiple notices and was accused of obstructing access to key evidence.

At just 22, Saanika Shah has scripted an extraordinary story of courage, passion, and perseverance by conquering the world’s tallest peak — Mount Everest. The young mountaineer, who had earlier captured hearts by performing a graceful Bharatnatyam recital at Everest Base Camp, has now turned that symbolic moment into a historic triumph.

Sharing the news after her successful summit, Saanika revealed that she returned to the base camp at around 3:30 AM, exhausted from the brutal climb yet overwhelmed with joy and pride.

“Mount Everest is the most challenging, riskiest, and toughest thing I would have ever done in this lifetime,” she wrote, reflecting on the physically and emotionally demanding journey to the top of the world.

The death of Twisha Sharma has shaken the country and sparked conversations that go far beyond one case. For many, her story has become part of a larger and painful reckoning with the realities many women continue to speak about — pressure inside marriage, expectations placed on women, and questions around power, accountability and justice.

Today in Bhopal, after the second postmortem was completed — a process her family had fought for through the courts — Twisha’s last rites were finally performed and her loved ones bid her a final goodbye.

Present at her final farewell were her parents, her brother Major Harshit Sharma, cousins, relatives and close friends — standing together through unimaginable grief. The most difficult moments came as the family gathered around Twisha for one final time, with emotional scenes marking a farewell no family imagines making so soon.

Her family has publicly alleged dowry-related pressure, harassment and raised concerns over the circumstances surrounding her death, allegations that remain under investigation.

Tomorrow, the case enters another chapter as the Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the matter after taking suo motu cognisance.

Our deepest condolences to Twisha Sharma’s family, friends and everyone who loved her.

Today, as Twisha Sharma is laid to rest in Bhopal at 5 PM following the completion of medical procedures, our thoughts are with her family and everyone who loved her.

This is a moment beyond headlines, beyond courtrooms, and beyond public debate — a moment of grief for parents saying goodbye to their daughter, for her sibling and cousins losing a part of themselves, and for loved ones carrying questions that may take time to answer.

May Twisha be remembered not for the circumstances of her passing, but for the life she lived, the dreams she carried, and the people whose lives she touched.

We offer our deepest condolences to her family. May they find strength, dignity, and peace in the difficult days ahead. And may truth and justice, wherever they lead, bring them some measure of closure.

Rest in peace, Twisha.

Name changes in pakistan have stirred a conversation. Pakistan has begun reviving several old locality and street names linked to its Hindu, Sikh, Jain and colonial past — names that had disappeared from public memory after the Partition of India. The decision has brought back identities like Krishan Nagar and Dharampura, replacing later-era names introduced over the decades. The move reflects an effort in Pakistan to reconnect the city with its layered cultural roots and restore fragments of a diverse past that once defined Lahore’s character.
