Peanut’s baby finally hatched! She is now the proud momma of a tiny baby peacock!
It’s a tiny pied peachick, and I’ve named her Speckle in honour of my late hen Speckles. She looks like a regular baby chicken but with long legs and a long face, and she’s really cute!
Also I’ve discovered several large families of baby ducks living in my sewage pond. One day they just randomly showed up here, and since I promised to show off wild ducks in the past here they are now!
YouTube just took down my recent post about my terminally ill chicken for a bogus copyright violation!
I used 2 photos in that post which were BOTH taken BY ME! And now YouTube took it down. I can’t appeal this decision or otherwise YouTube will share my full legal name and address with the false claimant, effectively doxxing me and risking the safety of both me and my animals.
This is unacceptable.
Edit: so apparently the post is still up??? I have no clue what’s happening man. I have had a terrible day with my hen slowly dying on me and I don’t need to deal with this AI moderation hallucination garbage.
Happy Canada Day everyone! 🇨🇦 The chickens dressed red and white for the occasion!
I wore my nice red shirt for the day too, there are events happening all around. It’s nice seeing the community get together like this.
Canadians only make up about 2% of my audience here on YouTube though, so if you’re from somewhere else feel free to say hi in the comments! Everyone’s welcome here.
Peanut is such a good mom, she takes the weather into account when leaving her nest!
When it’s a warm day, she’s happy to relax outside for 15 or more minutes, but when it’s cold and rainy like it is today she stayed outside for less than 5 minutes before returning to her eggs!
She walks up to her brooder box and then clucks there waiting for me to let her into it. The way she does it is so cute, I think she must know this time she’s actually getting babies, she looks so proud sitting on her peafowl eggs!
As they say, if you don’t like the weather, just wait 5 minutes. It was sunny, but now it’s thundering.
The geese love it, the chickens don’t care for it, and I went out for a jog. The Finns do ice plunges on frozen lakes to clear their minds, but I prefer running down a grassy hill in the rain. Nothings cozier than warming up inside after being out in the rain.
For the rest of you, stay safe, stay dry, and hope you’re doing well. Goodbye til tomorrow!

All is well with the birds, and I’ll probably do a livestream some time tomorrow, Sunday. Hope to see you there!

Sorry for the lack of posts recently, little speckles has prolapsed randomly and I’ve been trying to fix it for the last 2 days. . .
Apart from the prolapse she’s in great health and I’ve been keeping her isolated so she’s not getting pecked at, so I’ll keep trying to help her.
As for peanut, her single surviving egg is supposed to hatch in about 3 days!
That’s just a little update, I’ve had a lot of unpleasant work to do, and I need to keep doing it.
Have a good day everyone I’ll update you when peanuts eggs finally hatch!

Happy 4th of July everyone! I have my red and white chickens with the blue guy in the background!
This was a hard shot to take lol, but Americans are 33% of my audience so I thought, might as well.
Peanut’s also brooding really well right now, and her baby should be hatching in about a week!
Ok, that’s all, bye!

Happy Sunday everyone! I’m afraid I’m not going to be doing a livestream today, it’s WAY too wet and cold out right now. . .
All the birds are doing good, the broodies are staying dry inside and the ducks are digging comically large holes.

Big Floppy. All the broodies are doing well right now still!
I forgot what day this update was for, but I’ve confirmed peanut only has a single fertile egg. . . That’s still better than none!
Also I tried stacking them but only Bridget wants to stay melting once she’s out of the box. . .
