Some health conditions look like infections, but they are actually caused by inflammation or the body's immune system. This makes them difficult to diagnose and requires expert medical knowledge.

At the 6th Academic Meet 2026 at KIMS Manavata Hospital, Nashik, doctors discussed two such challenging conditions:

🔹 Granulomatous Mastitis – A rare breast condition that can cause pain, swelling, redness, and a lump in the breast. It is often confused with a breast infection or, in some cases, breast cancer, making early and correct diagnosis very important.

🔹 Hidradenitis Suppurativa – A long-term skin condition that causes painful boils and lumps, usually in the underarms, groin, and skin folds. It is often mistaken for repeated infections, which can delay the right treatment.

Through real patient cases and expert discussions, doctors learned how to:
✔ Identify these conditions early
✔ Differentiate them from infections
✔ Choose the right treatment for better patient outcomes
✔ Improve patient care through teamwork and shared knowledge

At KIMS Manavata Hospital, we believe that continuous learning helps our doctors provide better, safer, and more effective care for every patient.

🦟 World Dengue Day 2026- Theme: One World Against Dengue

Dengue can be dangerous if ignored. Watch out for symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, body pain, nausea, rash, and extreme weakness.

🚨 Seek immediate medical attention if you experience bleeding, severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, or breathing difficulty.

🛡️ How to Prevent Dengue
✔️ Do not allow water to stagnate in or around your home
✔️ Use mosquito repellents and nets
✔️ Wear full-sleeved clothing
✔️ Keep water tanks and containers covered
✔️ Maintain clean surroundings

💡 Treatment & Care
There is no specific antiviral treatment for dengue, but early diagnosis and proper medical care can prevent complications. Adequate hydration, rest, monitoring of platelet count, and timely medical supervision are crucial for recovery.

This World Dengue Day, let's work together to protect our families and communities.

🏥 If you or your loved one experiences symptoms of dengue, do not ignore them. Early diagnosis can save lives.
