This photo was taken at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C., where I found the name of my uncle, Adam Wilson. He served as an Army helicopter pilot in Vietnam and was killed when his aircraft went down.
Days like today are a reminder that the freedom to enjoy simple things — quiet mornings, campfires, road trips, hikes, and time outdoors with the people we love — came at a cost for many families.
As you enjoy the holiday today, I hope you’ll take a moment to remember those who never made it home.
Thinking of my uncle Adam, and all the others who gave everything in service to our country.

Hey friends… you may have noticed this video went dark for a bit after it was published. There was a small issue that needed to be worked out with the sponsor, Bluetti—but I’m glad to say everything’s been resolved and the video is back online.
I also want to say thank you. A very generous family—who wishes to remain anonymous—gifted me a replacement camera, which meant a lot. And I truly appreciate all of your comments and support along the way.
I’ll definitely be more mindful about securing my gear at camp moving forward. But no worries—this isn’t slowing me down.
