"You are my Liege Lord, but Christ is first." - Takayama Ukon to Regent Hideyoshi, 07/24/1587
John 13:33 – These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
John 15:18-20 – If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

I'm gonna go on a limb here because it appears that the California Lawyer is still mad about this after all these years. Astoundingly for me, he still doesn't get why he got such a reaction... after all these years. Oh and S H I T S H A D E S (@UncleSam-im), I can't seem to tag your "lawyer" friend since he's probably still there in your Coddle-type echo chamber of a comment thread. LoL

I'll tell you what T H I C K Y (@UncleSam-im), "jokes are half meant." Lo and Smokey (@MrsSmokeySaint , @KoneKlubKult) were just having a night out, peaceful and serene, then suddenly, you just jumped to your usual routine by just... just having some "unpleasant $#!%" to say. A picture writes a thousand words and you know this. That being said, you really can't give adversity to Lo's exhaustive utterance while that is what you've been doing with all your opponents that you deem weak, are without Christ, irrelevant and stupid; considering that you are known to gish-gallop and reply with long-winded essays (just made with A.I. and not with your brain). The enormity of the situation that even you yourself created opens and guarantees elaboration, which just gives me and my audience the impression that you brought yourself into a scenario where you can't backout from to which you regret because people will have something to say about your lack of intelligence as you hopelessly defend yourself (again with A.I. not with your brain). Now, it may have been just a joke to you but let's face it, "You're the joke."

In the Smokey Saint (@KoneKlubKult) Vs. @jacksmack77 debate, who is really engaging in "foul language"/"corrupt communication"?

Ephesians 4:29 - Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
This verse is not about the shunning of cusswords or always being nice with our speech. Rather, this is about believers being instructed to encourage, guide, be compassionate, and loving towards one another (as well as themselves) that they may continue (persevere) in The Faith with gladness and with hope, filled with grace (which we are expected to emulate as God has been gracious with us as well), despite our shortcomings and our nature to fall into to temptation via the presence of sin. Thus, in this emphasis, should our mouths be used primarily for the good and tenacity of the brethren, that the body of Christ be glorified in contrition, joy, love, and grace; even as with everything we do in conduct, character, and how we live.
St. John Chrysostom (a little long winded so I decided to pick which part of it has a more simpler analogy):
"... for instance, a brother has committed fornication; do not make a display of the offense, nor revel in it; you will be doing no good to him that hears you; rather, it is likely, you will hurt him, by giving him a stimulus. Whereas, advise him what to do, and you are conferring on him a great obligation. Discipline him how to keep silence, teach him to revile no man, and you have taught him his best lesson, you will have conferred upon him the highest obligation. Discourse with him on contrition, on piety, on almsgiving; all these things will soften his soul, for all these things he will own his obligation."
Encouraging one another to the things that Heaven deems worthy and perfect is better than judgment. It softens and warms the spirit that a passionate fire begins to rekindle, as intended to strengthen the believers resolve to continue in Christ despite falling short.
Conversely, by the words of St. Jerome, "A good word is one that serves to build upon the occasion, communicating grace to the hearers because it teaches them to pursue virtues and shun vices. An evil word is one that prompts them to sin and rather drives them headlong into disaster…. Whenever we say what is not in season or inappropriate for the context, or that which does not contribute to the good of the hearers, an evil word proceeds from our mouth…. Even if we do no direct harm, yet we are not thereby building up. We shall pay the penalty of an evil word."
Not all encouragement, regardless of its eloquence is always for the good but yet prompts one in the engagement of sin. Sometimes, harsh correction is necessary, even when it comes with the words we do not want to hear, especially outside of even what our current culture prefers:
- Proverbs 27:5-7 - Open rebuke is better than secret love. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. The full soul loatheth an honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.
- Proverbs 28:23 - He who rebukes a man will later find more favor than one who flatters with his tongue.
- Leviticus 19:17 - You must not harbor hatred against your brother in your heart. Directly rebuke your neighbor, so that you will not incur guilt on account of him.
- 1 Timothy 5:20 - But those who persist in sin should be rebuked in front of everyone, so that the others will stand in fear of sin.
- 1 Corinthians 5:1-3 - It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that is intolerable even among pagans: A man has his father’s wife. And you are proud! Shouldn’t you rather have been stricken with grief and have removed from your fellowship the man who did this? Although I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit, and I have already pronounced judgment on the one who did this, just as if I were present...
- Luke 17:3 - Watch yourselves. If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.
- Romans 12:9 - Love must be sincere. Detest what is evil; cling to what is good.
We ought not to wait for the occasion that our sin and that of others make an example of us whether in public shame, ignorance, or in secret lest the brethren be inspired to imitate only for them to stumble. God will take account of our deeds here in on Earth, by word, by action, and even by both.
Adversely, not all speech that is encouraging, harmless, without insults, or carry vulgarity is by itself good. This is how the Serpent in the Garden of Eden enticed Eve to eat of the "Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil" (Genesis 3:1-7). The Serpent's deceit did not have hostility or resistance but rather, gave way for a "passionate fire" but with the goal to act in disobedience of what God had forbade. Hence, both the Serpent and the firstborns, became the original example of sin "in the beginning."
To supplement this point, St. J. Chrysostom in the former part of his commentary I quoted, says this: "The mouth—this is the cause of all evil; or rather not the mouth, but they that make an evil use of it. From thence proceed insults, revilings, blasphemies, incentives to lusts, murders, adulteries, thefts, all have their origin from this. And how, you will say, do murders? Because from insult you will go on to anger, from anger to blows, from blows to murder. And how, again, adultery? Such a woman, one will say, loves you, she said something nice about you. This at once unstrings your firmness, and thus are your passions kindled within you."
This is the "corrupt communication" that St. Paul forbids us to utter; that which gives place to The Devil (Eph. 4:27). In the context of encouraging and guiding our brothers, the following cross references to Ephesians 4:29 are related:
- Proverbs 15:2, 7 - The tongue of the wise uses knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools pours out foolishness... The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish does not so.
- Ecclesiastes 10:12 - The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow him up.
- Colossians 3:8 - But now you also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy talk out of your mouth.
- Proverbs 10:31 - The mouth of the just brings forth wisdom: but the perverse tongue shall be cut out.
- James 3:2 - The mouth of the just brings forth wisdom: but the perverse tongue shall be cut out.
and that of which is deceitful should not be cultivated:
- Psalms 5:9 - For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is pure wickedness; their throat is an open sepulcher; they flatter with their tongue.
- Psalms 12:3 - The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
- Psalms 52:2 - Your tongue devises evil; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
- Romans 3:13 - Your tongue devises evil; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
- Matthew 12:34 - O generation of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
- 1 Peter 2:12 - Having your conduct honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
So finally, here is my rule of thumb for uncorrupted speech: What, Why, and How?
What? - Understand the situation and the responses fitting for such. (Proverbs 18:3 - He who answers a matter before he hears it, it is folly and shame to him.)
Why? - Not all instances require your output, regardless if it is sound or relevant (Proverbs 10:19, 11:12, 17:28, 21:13; Ecclesiastes 5:3 ). So before even uttering your words, ask yourself if it is coming from a place of righteousness, substance, contrition, guidance, anger that does not cause you to sin (Ephesians 4:26) or pride, malice, wrath, blasphemy, (Colossians 3:8) and anything that gives place to The Devil (Ephesians 4:25)?
How? - All speech have their settings, occasions, and seasons (Proverbs 25:11 - A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver.). That being said, your delivery should be in line with the last two questions you answered yourself.
"When communicating with the brethren in settling disputes or administering praise, you must first call upon the Holy Spirit and establish your heart. Is rebuke coming from a place of love and contrition, guidance founded on God's wisdom, indignation driven by righteousness, and encouragement that is rightfully given; not of flattery? By negation of the inquiry, you grieve the Holy Spirit by acting uncompassionately towards your brother as you display and revel upon his wicked conduct; even more when you enable it by deceit, as you both shall bare the charge."

@3:56:36 - No Isaac, I never talked about your behavior and the issue that resulted and perpetuated with it, with Mac and James. In fact, I didn't need to talk to them about it because you went out of your own accord to do what you did; which by the way, is blasphemous too since you claim to have the Holy Spirit with you and doing the thing that is unloving and unpeaceful by going to TheDUDE and stirring up the situation even further. Causing uproars is not "Loving" Isaac but your gonna sit there and say, "I know how to "Love" the brethren."; Apparently, you don't Isaac since Mac and James WERE your brethren.

@God's Integrity Pathways Isaac, has been executed.
- Used God's love to:
+ Validate talking trash about Kenny Rhodes.
+ Validate the POD's treatment towards Gavin, Jesse, and Kenny as well by dismissing it.
+ Validate his trash abuse of marijuana and dared to compare his mental state to that of Kenny.
+ To validate even further his lie concerning his conversations with Mac and James (even after he admits going to The Dude).
- Then finally, denies being a "teacher" or prophet (after I pitched the fact they too had to teach Israel at the time to turn from their wicked ways, which by the way, did so with The Holy Spirit in their midst). But wait, he has done that not only during my stream, he also does just that in his own channel.
