തെക്ക്-പടിഞ്ഞാറന് കാലവര്ഷത്തില് കുറവുണ്ടായാല് അത് രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ വളര്ച്ചയ്ക്ക് തിരിച്ചടിയാകുമെന്നും പണപ്പെരുപ്പമുണ്ടാകുമെന്നും ആര്ബിഐ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ്. ഈ വര്ഷം കാലവര്ഷം സാധാരണയേക്കാള് കുറവായിരിക്കുമെന്നാണ് കാലാവസ്ഥ വകുപ്പ് പ്രവചിക്കുന്നത്.ജലസംഭരണികളില് വെള്ളം കുറവാണ്. കഴിഞ്ഞ വര്ഷം മികച്ച വിളവ് ലഭിച്ചതിനാല് ഗോതമ്പ് സംഭരണം നല്ല രീതിയില് നടന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഫുഡ് കോര്പ്പറേഷന് ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യയില് അരിയും ഗോതമ്പും ബഫര് നിലയേക്കാള് അധികമുണ്ട്. അതിനാല് തന്നെ എല് നിനോ പ്രതിഭാസം കൊണ്ടുള്ള കാര്ഷിക പ്രതിസന്ധിയും അതെത്തുടര്ന്നുള്ള വിതരണ സ്തംഭനവും കാര്യമായി രാജ്യത്തെ ബാധിച്ചേക്കില്ലെന്ന് ആര്ബിഐ റിപ്പോര്ട്ടില് പറയുന്നു. അതേസമയം പലതരം അനിശ്ചിതത്വങ്ങള് ആഗോള വ്യാപാരം, ചെലവ്, മൂലധന ഒഴുക്ക്, അസംസ്കൃതവസ്തുകകളുടെ വില എന്നിവയിലെല്ലാം പ്രതിഫലിക്കും.

The RBI noted that while domestic food security may remain stable, broader uncertainties could affect global trade, spending, capital flows, and commodity prices.

എല് നിനോ പ്രതിഭാസം ഉയര്ത്തുന്ന കാലാവസ്ഥ ഭീഷണിയും മണ്സൂണ് വൈകുന്നതും ഇന്ത്യയില് നിന്നുള്ള പഞ്ചസാര കയറ്റുമതിക്ക് ഭീഷണിയാകുമെന്ന് ആശങ്ക. ലോകത്തിലെ രണ്ടാമത്തെ വലിയ പഞ്ചസാര കയറ്റുമതി രാഷ്ട്രമായിരുന്ന ഇന്ത്യയില് നിന്നും അടുത്ത സീസണില് കയറ്റുമതി ചെയ്യാനുള്ള പഞ്ചസാര കുറവായിരിക്കുമെന്നാണ് റിപ്പോര്ട്ടുകള്. എഥനോളിന് ആവശ്യകത ഉയരുന്നതും പഞ്ചസാര ഉല്പ്പാദനത്തെ ബാധിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. സെപ്റ്റംബര് 30 വരെ രാജ്യത്ത് നിന്നുള്ള പഞ്ചസാര കയറ്റുമതി സര്ക്കാര് നിരോധിച്ചിരുന്നു.
