Dude... You have ran away from every debate challenge I have made to you. I agree that MDD is neutral, but their moderation sucks, and you know that. But since you now seem willing to actually debate instead of running away, I have a nice compromise: I will give you the choice of picking either the MOD or the VENUE. You pick one, and I will pick the other. I will even let you make the first pick. Until then, I will keep laughing at your cope while you claim images captured on film are CGI. ‪@matthewhakim721‬

Reds Rhetoric

Currently packing up for my trip to Florida for the Artemis II launch. There will be a multi-hour live stream on this channel of the event. So be sure to watch this space. The live stream will be powered by Mike from the Drunk Debunk Show. I have also decided to drag along Boston Concerts who will serve as co-host of the live stream. As for what I am bringing, here is the list...

- The Celestron CPC 800 EdgeHD Telescope
- 2-In CF star diagonal by William Optics
- Celestron 2.5x Barlow
- Apertura 60 Doublet Refractor Telescope
- A Sony ZV-E10
- The Nikon P1000 (Flerf Camera of choice)
- Celestron Nexstar 6/8 SE Telescope mount
- ELP 4K Finder Cam
- Jackery 1000 and 240
- Like 3 fucking laptops
- Miles of wires and cables
- Some stuff I'm probably forgetting
- My own crude sense of humor.

As you can see, no expense has been spared to bring you the best viewing experience. With all that said, I hope to see you in the live chat of the stream. I consider it a monumental privilege to be in a position where I can broadcast this historical event to you all.

Hello ‪@flatearthreconnaissance‬

First, sorry for not making this post as it's own video. Usually, I like to highlight the cowardice of Flerfs with a dedicated upload. But since I am in Florida having a much needed vacation, you will have to deal with a regular post instead.

So here is some context: You’ve been posting images of out-of-focus stars through your optics and presenting them as if that’s what properly focused stars actually look like. You fucked up the focus so badly that internal reflections and scatter patterns inside the optical system are visible. That’s why you're seeing those strange points and shapes. They aren’t "star structures" or what ever the fuck you want to call them. You are simply seeing artifacts from optics not being focused correctly, and I called you out on it.

So I offered you $500 and a free Bahtinov mask, also known as a Focus mask, on the Drunk Debunk Show. It was an offer for you to verify that your stars were actually in focus. A focus mask removes guesswork entirely. A focus mask either shows proper focus or it fucking doesn’t. That is exactly why I have one.

If your stars really looked the way you claim, this would have taken seconds to confirm and you would have walked away with free money and stronger evidence. Instead, you rejected the offer and countered with a demand for $5,000 upfront. That is an amount so unreasonable that it guarantees a "fuck you" in response. But make no mistake, people can see this as a piss poor attempt to run away while trying, and failing, to maintain some dignity. Fucking pathetic. This is not the Uno reverse card you think it is.

So no, I’m not giving you $5,000. That was never on the table, and it’s not going to be. The deal was $500 of my own money, plus me paying for the focus mask, for a simple check to make sure you weren't full of shit. A focus mask doesn’t rely on NASA, and it doesn’t require trusting me or you. It just shows whether the stars you keep presenting as “in focus” are actually IN FUCKING FOCUS.

Instead of saying yes to free money for a simple test, you came back demanding $5,000 upfront? That is bitch shit. That tells everyone exactly what they need to know. But here's the best part! I genuinely expected AND WANTED you to refuse. Not just because I have better things to do with my money. I wanted to show that you already knew that you were spewing shit and will literally say no to free money to keep the lie going. I got that out of you for free. :D

If you were confident in your claim, this would be the easiest $500 you’ve ever made. Instead, you decided to make the price absurd. And you honestly thought this wouldn't make you look like a total coward? I guess when honesty is the price of admission, you’ll turn down free fucking money to avoid it. Thanks for proving what I already knew. You can now consider my offer withdrawn.

I have just been informed that Artemis II is not launching in February. The wet dress rehearsal revealed vehicle issues that engineers need to overcome. This definitely sucks. The big question is going to be my capability of coming back to Florida from New England for their next launched attempt. Currently, the best option seems to be driving from Boston to Cape Canaveral, since that option can be done easier on short notice.

The driving option would also give me some freedom to bring additional equipment which would only make the live stream better. A major downside to this approach would be the time and effort involved. A round trip of roughly 2,600 mi is not kind to my sanity. Once upon a Time, I had the capability of chewing up highway miles like nobody's business. But I think it's safe to say that I no longer have the capability of driving for 20+ hours. There is also a financial hit with every 2,600 mi road trip. I would be losing time at work and I would be spending money. So in reality, I would only be able to do this once.

In the future, I will be having a live stream to go over the options available. Whatever I decide, I will be sure to keep everyone updated. Regardless, I have decided to leave behind some equipment with ‪@Astronomy_Live‬ to ensure that he will have an easier time capturing Artemis with his telescope. So even if I'm not around, we will still get independent amateur footage of the launch, which of course will result in massive Flat Earth butthurt. Big Mike is currently in possession of my Nikon P1000, and I am willing to leave it with him for a bit longer just in case I cannot make it. That way we would get excellent tracking from a telescope, AND we would get footage from the Flerf camera of choice. I think this is a solid backup plan.

More updates coming soon. 👍

For as long as I can remember, I've been using Sony Vegas to edit all of my videos. Unfortunately, it seems to be a Windows only program. The reason that is an issue is because I recently switched over to Linux Fedora 43. So I essentially have two options. The first option is to find a different editor that runs natively on Linux. The second option is to load my old OS with all of its files as a virtual machine which I would only use for editing purposes.

Both of these options are viable and I'm wondering if any of you fine people would be willing to help me out with this. In short, if you are familiar with a linux-based video editor and are willing to teach me how to use it, comment down below. If you instead know how to load my old OS as a virtual machine, with access to all of my files, comment down below if you are willing to help me set that up.

Either way, I thank you all in advance.
