SOFLO Overlander started as a simple idea: get outside, explore Florida, and document the journey.

What I never expected was how this journey on social media would bring together people from all corners of Florida—people who started as usernames and comments, and quickly became trail partners, campfire friends, and lifelong connections.

Through muddy trails, long nights around the fire, early morning coffee, and shared challenges, real friendships were formed. Bonds built not on likes or followers—but on shared experiences, trust, and a love for the outdoors.

The most rewarding part of this journey has been seeing others feel inspired to step outside their comfort zones… to explore Florida’s incredible natural spaces, protect them, and experience the freedom that comes from being out there—off the pavement, off the grid, and fully present.

SOFLO Overlander is more than a page.
It’s a community.
It’s a reminder that adventure is closer than we think.
And that the best journeys are the ones we take together.

As we close out 2025 I feel incredibly grateful for all the channel members the followers those of you that have reached out, it’s incredibly heartwarming to know so many of you have followed along on my overlanding journey, my journey to disconnect to reconnect and experience life‘s treasures. I’m excited to see what 2026 will bring us to this channel and to our South Florida Overlander community.
