the keys still on the table, a cup untouched, a scent on the sheets.
It’s the kind of silence that turns into its own voice, echoing louder than any argument ever did.

When I wrote this, I wasn’t just thinking about heartbreak in a romantic sense. I was thinking about anyone who’s had to live with a what if.
What if I had said something sooner?
What if they had believed in us?
What if the quiet didn’t take over?

I wanted the lyrics to feel like reading a diary you never meant to open again, with every line pulling you back to a memory you thought you buried. That’s why the song moves between whispers and cries, soft reflections and heavy echoes—because grief and love often live in the same space.
