Kathua; 18 Feb:- In a significant operation, a car bearing registration number HR98J-9889 was intercepted at the Dispatch point Lakhanpur, while traveling from Punjab to Kathua. The driver, Fahad Yousuf, and his associate, Fahad Wani, both residents of Srinagar, were found in possession of a staggering ₹ 3.36 crore in cash.The recovery was made by Police team led by SHO PS Lakhanpur Insp. Tribhawan Khajuria under the guidance of *Addl. SP Kathua Sh. Rahul Charak JKPS & DySP DAR Kathua Sh. Subash Chander* and overall supervision of *SSP Kathua Sh. Shobhit Saksena IPS*.
The recovery was made in the presence of a Magistrate, ensuring the integrity of the operation. Subsequently, the recovered cash, along with the car and both individuals, were handed over to the Income Tax department for further investigation and action.
This seizure highlights the ongoing efforts of J&K Police Kathua to combat illicit financial transactions and ensure compliance with tax laws. The swift action taken by the #Kathua Police demonstrates their commitment to maintaining the integrity of the financial system.

The department has initiated the process after Hon'ble MLA Bani Dr. Rameshwar took up the matter with Hon'ble Minster for School Education Smt. Sakeena Itoo. The Hon'ble MLA vide his DO dated 05-12-2024 had written to Hon'ble Education Minister .
Today MLA Bani Dr Rameshwar Singh called on Hon'ble Chief Minister and Advisor to Hon'ble Chief Minister in Civil Secreterate Jammu. MLA Bani congratulated Hon'ble CM and Advisor on performing Umrah. The MLA Bani later raised the issue of Pahari ST status to all communities Bani Constituency, Construction of Sewa-I Hydro Power Project, poor mobile connectivity of various areas of Bani Constituency grant of special funds for augmentation of Power sector of Bani before coming winters on the annology of Kashmir. The Hon'ble CM assured that all the demands shall be looked into on priority basis and shall be resolved in a time bound manner. The MLA Bani also invited Hon'ble Chief Minister to Bani and Lohai Malhar. The Hon'ble CM accepted the invitation and shall be visiting Bani shortly. The MLA Bani met Hon'ble Health and Education Minister Sakeena Itoo and raised the issue of Upgradation of Saira High School and establishment of Primary School at Ghera. The Hon'ble Minister assured resolution of the issues. The MLA Bani also met Hon'ble forest Minister Javed Rana and demanded bifurcation of Lohai Malhar Forest Range into two ranges i.e Lohai Malhar Range. The Hon'ble Minster assured that all the demands shall be processed shortly.
