Financial Emergency in India
• Article 360 of the Indian Constitution empowers the President to invoke financial emergency.
• A proclamation declaring financial emergency must be approved by both the Houses of Parliament (i.e., Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha) within two months from the date of its issue.
• A resolution approving the proclamation of financial emergency can be passed by either House of Parliament only by a simple majority.
Q. For how much time Financial Emergency can be proclaimed?

• भारतीय संविधान का अनुच्छेद 360 राष्ट्रपति को वित्तीय आपातकाल लागू करने का अधिकार देता है।
• वित्तीय आपातकाल की घोषणा करने वाली उद्घोषणा को इसके जारी होने की तारीख से दो महीने के भीतर संसद के दोनों सदनों (यानी, लोकसभा और राज्यसभा) द्वारा अनुमोदित किया जाना चाहिए।
• वित्तीय आपातकाल की घोषणा को मंजूरी देने वाला प्रस्ताव संसद के किसी भी सदन द्वारा केवल साधारण बहुमत से पारित किया जा सकता है।
