Gilgal the Footprint of God - Biblical Archaeology
The story of Israel’s emergence and entry into Canaan includes a very interesting but largely unheard-of feature that centers around Gilgal. In the book of Joshua, particularly in chapters 4-10, Israel is said to be camping at a place called Gilgal. We later learn the place was named Gilgal because of the prescribed circumcision of the Israelite males. That event was a sign that the Lord had “rolled away the reproach of Egypt” (Josh 5:9). The word “Gilgal” means “a rolling, or a wheel,” indicating something circular, round, or ringed.

THE LATER CRUSADES AND THEIR LEGACY - Church History
The Crusades were a set of wars or military campaigns especially between Christians and Muslims in the Eastern Mediterranean world in the eleventh through thirteenth centuries AD. The First Crusade laid the foundation for the others. Historians consider at least six other military campaigns to be a part of the formal Crusade legacy. The idea of the Crusades continues to impact Christians, Muslims, and Jews up to the present era.

Synoptic Gospels
The beginning of the Late Bronze Age (Late Bronze Age 1500-1200 BCE) is described best through events, which most likely occurred with the expulsion of a people called the Hyksos from Egypt. The Hyksos, who are not to be confused with the Israelites, were a generally Semitic group from in and around Canaan who had invaded and conquered Egypt around 1720 BCE. The Hyksos were expelled and Egypt was reunified by Pharaoh Ahmose around 1550-1525 BCE. The expulsion helped strengthen Egypt both militarily and economically. That renewed national enthusiasm in Egypt also caused a renewed interest in the land of Canaan.

Justin Martyr Dialogue with Trypho the Jew
The philosopher and Christian apologist known as Justin Martyr lived in the early second century AD. After he became a Christian, he traveled around in a philosopher’s robe and taught and sometimes debated people about God and Christianity. In about AD 135, he was walking on a road he referred to as the Xystus (ZI-stuss) in Ephesus. It was here that he met a man named Trypho, who identified himself as a “Hebrew". having escaped from the war,” referring to the Bar Kokhba Rebellion. Justin and Trypho agreed that the pursuit of God is a philosopher’s highest calling and spent two days discussing Jewish and Christian ideas of God and the life of His people. The written form of their Dialogue was published twenty or twenty-five years after it happened, sometime after Justin wrote his First and Second Apologies but before he was martyred in AD 165.

Documentary About Biblical Bronze and Intermediate Ages - Biblical Archaeology
as the discipline of archaeology has developed over the last century the rapidly expanding body of knowledge from archaeological research makes it difficult for any one person to be an expert in all time periods so today archaeological scholars tend to focus on just one or two archaeological periods the same principle applies to biblical studies scholars as well the field of biblical studies is so large and expansive that scholars and students will focus on one or two time periods or sections of the bible for instance some focus on the Pentateuch the first five books of the bible while others might focus on the gospels Matthew mark Luke and john the amount of information available today is so enormous that it would be a mistake to expect a person to completely master the fullness of either biblical studies or archaeology let alone master them both the following then is a brief and general overview of the intersection of the early and intermediate bronze ages. Keep watching the Video .
