Today started the same way it always does. Together.
Before any opponent arrived, the boys were already on the pitch putting in the work. One hour and fifteen minutes of training, learning, correcting and improving as a team.
Not everyone could feature in the friendly matches, but no one came in vain. Every player trained, every player contributed, every player remains part of the journey.
After the session, we welcomed Peace FC for two competitive games.
Our U10s scored first but eventually lost 6–1. A tough lesson, but an important one.
The U15s followed with a strong response, finishing their match 6–4 in our favour after two intense halves.
Different results. Same objective.
Growth. Learning. Character.
At PTE Football Academy Nigeria, every training matters and every player belongs.

Today was not planned.
After our normal warm up and routine work, an impromptu friendly match happened right here in the community. At PTE Football Academy Nigeria, we are open to all. We believe football should be a platform where every child can be seen, express themselves and grow.
So we played.
Four different teams rotated. Each group had their 15 minutes. No one was sidelined. Because this is a long term development project, not a short term result chase.
First half ended 4 nil against us. One goal conceded in the first 15 minutes. Three more in the next 15. Hard lessons.
Second half, new energy. New groups. The boys who kept showing up every week responded. Goal after goal. Five in total. One was called off for peace and fairness. Final score, 4-4.
But the real story is growth.
In the past, we lost heavily. 6-1. 4-1. 6-2. Today, we competed. Today, we responded. Today, they believed.
We started this academy with no boots, no jerseys, no identity. Just passion and consistency. The same way some of these community boys are starting today.
Everyone deserves the opportunity to play. To make mistakes. To learn. To return to the training ground better.

Football was never just about the pitch. It’s about giving boys in their raw state a chance to dream, to see that what they watch on TV can become their reality if they keep showing up, training, and believing.
This December, PTE Football Academy Nigeria presents the Trenches Super 8, a one-day U15 five-a-side tournament built to inspire, engage, and give young talents a platform to shine.
Eight teams. One pitch. One day of pure football.
Talent, grit, and passion, this is where young stars rise.
The eight teams will compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, with individual awards for outstanding performances.
