The Telangana Government has submitted the Metro Rail Phase 2(B) proposal to the Government of India today (21.06.2025).

Backed by State Cabinet approval, Phase 2(B) will add 86.1 km of metro network across 3 transformative corridors:

· RGIA to Bharat Future City – 39.6 km (₹7,168 Cr)
· JBS to Medchal – 24.5 km (₹6,946 Cr)
· JBS to Shamirpet – 22 km (₹5,465 Cr)

Total Investment: ₹19,579 Cr (Joint Venture Model)

• TG Govt: ₹5,874 Cr (30%)
• Govt of India: ₹3,524 Cr (18%)
• International Debt: ₹9,398 Cr (48%)
• PPP: ₹783 Cr (4%)
