As of today, I realized something. Last year I saved $0 outside of my usual investments in stock and 401(k). This year I did my usual investments like last year but also saved about $40,000. Proud of myself - I didn’t feel deprived but was much more mindful, even through all the hard times. This system works. Forget goals. Stick to your system. Goals are met when you stick to your system consistently. Happy New Year to you all!
