I have sailed on many ships over the years and to me an ocean voyage is the ultimate way to travel. I have a great love for the history of Ocean Liners and their design and construction.

Cruise Ships with Opera House shadow. It’s an interesting sight in the morning at the moment seeing the shadow of the Sydney Opera House appearing on Cruise Ships in the Morning. This only happens at this time of year when the sun is low and at a certain angle starting from about late March early April. I really like the early Morning light with its shadows and reflected light is a great time of day.
Island Princess in the first photo was visiting Sydney on a 54 day Pacific Cruise that started in San Diego California. Celebrity Edge was refueling for a 25 day repositioning voyage to Vancouver via Tahiti and Hawaii.
Anthem of the Seas, Celebrity Solstice, and Discovery Princess were also preparing to sail to Vancouver which takes about 25 days to start their Alaska Cruising Season. Carnival Splendor was on a shorter voyage out of Sydney.
