Ha Giang is one of those places for me.
I still remember standing in Đong Van before sunrise,
watching the fog move slowly between the stone mountains while the first light quietly touched the cliffs.
Everything felt unbelievably still.
No traffic.
No noise.
Just the sound of the wind moving through the valleys and the feeling that time had slowed down for a while.
That morning changed the way I approached piano.
I realized music doesn’t always need to say something big.
Sometimes a few gentle notes are enough.
Enough to breathe with the landscape instead of standing in front of it.
This piece was written from that feeling.
A little bit of the cold morning air of Ha Giang,
the silence of the Đong Van Karst Plateau,
and the quiet loneliness that somehow feels comforting in the mountains.
