Life got big for a little while. I moved house, which meant tearing down my YouTube studio and rebuilding it from scratch in a new room: getting the lighting right, blackout shades up, every little thing dialled back in until it felt like home again. And while I was at it, I rebuilt how the whole channel runs behind the scenes too — because I never want to disappear on you like that again, and I'd rather take the time to do it properly than keep posting at a pace I can't hold.
Good news: it's done. The studio's up, the system works, and I am SO ready to talk about pop music again. 💿

Tuesdays are the album deep dives — the 90s and 00s records that earned a canon, given the runtime they actually deserve. Saturdays are Main Pop Girl, marching year by year through who really ruled pop. With a few surprises thrown in along the way!
No more vanishing for weeks at a time. Tuesdays and Saturdays. You can hold me to it.

Six months ago this channel didn't exist. I had zero subscribers and a hope that people like me — people who grew up collecting CDs and taping the charts off the radio — wanted someone to take this music seriously.
Turns out you did.
Look at that growth chart. That spike is when the Believe video took off — 338,000 views on a 25-minute video about a Cher album from 1998. I still can't believe that sentence is real.
I won't pretend this has been easy. I edit late into the night. I obsess over things people probably don't notice. I've rewritten scripts at 1am because a take didn't feel honest enough. But I love doing this, and the fact that you keep showing up means more than I can put into words.
Here's what I can tell you: I'm not stopping.
The definitive 90s ranking is coming, then we're heading into 2002 and beyond. The deep dives are getting bigger.
I'd love to get to 100,000 subscribers one day — whether that takes six months or six years, I'll keep making these videos as long as you keep watching them.
