Building on WatchMojo's legacy of curation, reinterpretation, and cultural storytelling, SoundMojo is a music label dedicated to reimagining sound across cultures, eras, and genres. SoundMojo's vision is to reinterpret music in ways that blend global traditions with contemporary storytelling — creating works that feel both timeless and new. Our ambition is to build a creative platform where heritage meets reinvention: where iconic melodies, cultural songs, and historic compositions are translated into modern musical experiences for new audiences.

SoundMojo is not simply a record label. It is a creative laboratory for musical reinterpretation, cultural storytelling, and multimedia performance. Our mission is to bridge cultures, generations, and genres through reinterpretation.

About a decade ago, we launched SoundMojo as an experimental “label,” with the goal of spotlighting independent artists and promoting their music across our platforms. It was well-intentioned and creator-friendly — but in hindsight, it lacked cohesion and a deeper narrative. We were promoting great songs… but they weren’t ours.

Fast forward to today.

Our founder Ashkan Karbasfrooshan (writer, documentary maker, entrepreneur) is developing a new music project called ARYA: Songs from Iran — an album that re-imagines iconic Iranian songs, translated into English and adapted across genres like rock, pop, hard rock, and R&B.

Following our recent Top 10 Iconic Iranian Songs video, we saw something powerful: global audiences were genuinely curious about the music and culture of one of the world’s oldest civilizations — beyond headlines, politics, or propaganda.

Due to recent tragic events in Iran, the album’s release has been delayed. In the meantime, Ashkan is sharing a few demo tracks as teasers — not final versions, but a way to show the idea and invite collaboration.

This is just the beginning. WatchMojo has always been about curation and storytelling, and we’re excited to explore how music can become part of that journey again — across cultures, languages, and genres.

RIP Ozzy Osbourne. The heavy metal legend has passed away at the age of 76. As the frontman of Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne not only influenced a whole generation of musicians but also helped define the heavy metal genre with epic tracks like "Paranoid," "War Pigs," and "Iron Man." His success as a solo artist was even more impressive with decades worth of hits, Crazy Train, Bark at the Moon, No More Tears, and massive global concerts.
What was your all-time favorite Ozzy track?
