The Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) introduced DDU-GKY on the momentous occasion of Antyodaya Diwas, on 25th September 2014. DDU-GKY is a crucial component of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), committed to achieving dual objectives: enhancing income diversity for rural families and fulfilling the career aspirations of rural youth.
We have a unique focus on rural youth aged 15 to 35 years, hailing from underprivileged families. Our role in the Skill India campaign is instrumental in supporting various social and economic initiatives of the government, such as Make In India, Digital India, Smart Cities, Start-Up India, and Stand-Up India campaigns.

छत्तीसगढ़: पढ़ाई पूरी करके बेमेतरा की तरुणा गांव में अपने खेतों में काम रही थीं. फिर उन्हें DDU-GKY में ट्रेनिंग मिली, आज वो एमराल्ड ज्वेल्स, तमिलनाडु में नौकरी कर रही हैं. अपने घर पैसे भेजती हैं, भाई को पढ़ा रही हैं. अपने सुनहरे वर्तमान के लिए DDU-GKY को शुक्रिया कह रही है.
