Be Compassionate Like Your Heavenly Father
Gospel of Luke 6:36–38
“The Gospel of Luke 6:36 says: Be compassionate, just as your Heavenly Father is compassionate.”
How can we become compassionate like our Heavenly Father?
The next verses give us the answer.
We can be compassionate in four simple ways:
1️⃣ Compassion in Thoughts – Do Not Judge
Do not judge others in your mind.
We do not know their full story.
Think good about people.
Pray for them instead of criticizing them.
2️⃣ Compassion in Words – Do Not Condemn
Do not speak bad words about others.
Do not insult or blame.
Speak kind and gentle words.
Your words should heal, not hurt.
3️⃣ Compassion in Behaviour – Always Forgive
If someone hurts you, forgive them.
Do not keep anger in your heart.
Forgiveness brings peace to your heart.
As God forgives us, we also forgive others.
4️⃣ Compassion in Actions – Give and Help
Help people who are in need. Share what you have. Do small acts of kindness every day. When you give with love, God blesses you even more.
Conclusion
When we think good, speak good, forgive, and help others,
we become like our Heavenly Father—full of mercy and love.
