Piano prodigy Elaine Yu spent her childhood competing in local piano competitions winning second places in both Biggars Music Competition and Glasgow Music Festival. As an avid YouTuber, she garnered a following around her impressive piano videos. Playing and performing pieces beyond her years, audiences were surprised and in awe of the skillset of this young pianist. Under the tutelage of Jemma Brown, she flourished and developed unique interpretations of the works of Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and Mozart.
Moving into a professional recording artist career, Elaine released her debut album, My Journey, in December 2023. This was completely funded by The Prince's Trust's grant as a part of the Enterprise Programme. In April 2026, Elaine released her self-funded EP, titled Timeless EP. The four tracks were her original piano compositions with three of them that had added string arrangements made by Shane Thomas.
