Welcome!
My channel is about nature, hiking, wild camping, sleeping under the stars, watching sunrise, finding peace outdoors, foraging, mental health and more. I occasionally post quirky side quests, like the ongoing saga of separating two stuck glasses.

Day 3 yesterday, 10.7 miles - it was the most challenging day so far, carrying the backpack in the heat. I'd enjoyed staying overnight at Apuldram church and the first stretch after Fishbourne was gorgeous. The most cooling moment of the day was sitting in the crypt under Bosham church - I had to shelter in Bosham for a couple of hours. There were some relentless shadeless stretches of road to come and I was starting to feel weary, so stopped at Nutbourne, reaching my 100th mile in May. Another mile was walking home after I got the train back to Portsmouth. Film to come... #Maydaymile #RNLI

11.5 miles today, lots of filming, too many ticks, a big hill, lots of rest stops, a sad tree #Maydaymile

It was a hot and heavy ten miles. It's due to get hotter tomorrow and into the 30°s on Monday. Will need to adjust the route and drop some miles to be less exposed and stay safe. Good to have some friends today - the next two days are solo. The umbrella definitely helped a bit with the sun. Needed dark shades for the bright chalk path. Got a tick off my leg before it latched on!

Taking the heatwave warnings seriously and getting ready to test my UV brolly on my 3 day hike over the next 3 days 🥵😎 Covering about 35 miles and weighing everything to try and get backpack lighter. Films will upload when editing time allows (the backlog is real!). Stay cool, hydrated, and safe! 🩵

It's been a long time coming! Very happy to complete the Every Sunrise year-long project by uploading the final film! Loved revisiting the mornings during the editing process - hope you enjoy them too 😊 About 18 months later than intended but that's life!

Hi there! Until I can get time for editing my longer content videos, I've made an off-shoot channel for uploading a daily moment to ensure I do make a little time to pause and step out of my overwhelming stuff into a small moment of calm. If that sounds like something you may be interested in sharing, please do pop over and subscribe. Here is today's moment.

Hello any of you popping in here! 👋 I am still being nature connecting with nature, and inhabiting my little corner of Youtube here. Suddenly finding myself in the role of caring for parents since last December and relentless family stress of this year has brought me to breaking point a few times however. It's meant continually cancelling things and putting most of my own life on hold... jobs, courses, festivals, trips, projects, walks, camps, filming and editing... most of everything has fallen by the wayside with the steady flow of crisies and responsibilities. I'm yearning to get back to editing November sunrises and getting them out on the channel, along with much else (which will be old news, but arriving here sometime anyway!). I'm learning to be patient, to accept that this is just where I am these days, to find creative ways to survive through these times, and knowing that one day I'll be back fully inhabiting my own life and projects again. In the meantime, it's about the small everyday joys, the brief moments of observance of my place in this incredible universe, the smell of autumn, love, gratitude, grief, remaining present, and defending at least one precious day each month for a gorgeous day hike with friends. Here are some pics from our October walk yesterday at Ashford Hangars, near Petersfield. I look forward so much to bringing more videos to the channel, all in good time. Thank you for being here 🙏💚
