Ok, finally have sign off for episode 1 of Japan!!!

So it’ll be out tomorrow (Weds 27th May), then episode 2 will be out Weds 3rd June and then Japan travel tips video will be out 10th June.

Apologies for the delay but it’s completely out of my control.

I’m flying out June 1st to begin filming my next trip, and the next series that will be out is Indonesia towards the end of July 👍

Soooo the first Japan episode was supposed to be out today, but once again I’m waiting on the video’s sponsor to sign things off (can take up to 2 weeks for a reply to an email 🙄)

So it’ll be out next Thursday or Friday now.

Super frustrating but I appreciate everyone’s patience! The video will be worth the wait 🙂👍

Hi everyone,

Just got back from a month's worth of travelling and filming! And can now give you an update on what's coming up on the channel:

1. 24 Hours in Singapore

This will be a shorter film as I had a stop off in Singapore on the way home, a place I've been to twice before but hadn't properly filmed until now. Expect this out end of next week, probably April 10th.

2. Two Weeks In Japan

Jaime and I had two weeks travelling round in Japan, her first time there, my second, although the vast majority of activities we did were brand new to both of us.

This will be either 1 or 2 episodes, will get a better idea once I start breaking down the footage. Hope to have this out end of April / start of May

3. Two Weeks In Indonesia

Travelling with my mate Luke, we went to Jakarta, East Java, Gili T, Lombok and Komodo.

This will definitely be 2 episodes. Hopefully have this out at the end of May, just have to see how the editing goes.

Start of June I'll be heading back to Europe to film a road trip, and then in September I'm heading to Central Asia to do the 5 Stans tour.

Lots to look forward to and lots of editing to do!! So I best get on with it ;)

Switzerland 🇨🇭 first episode will be out in just 6 days Friday 27th Feb!!

That’s also the day Jaime and I fly out to Japan to film the next adventure.

I’m working night and day to get the 2nd episode of Switzerland done before we go, let’s see how I do! 😅

If all goes to plan that will be out Friday 6th March, but we’ll see.

The first episode of Switzerland I’m taking Jaime and some of our friends on my favourite hikes in the Jungfrau Region.

The 2nd episode I’m travelling solo to places in Switzerland I’ve never been to before.

Just a quick note to say THANK YOU for all the lovely messages of support yesterday! Really meant a lot.

Been a tough year with the channel, I’ve never worked harder on it and yet never had less to show for it financially which is very disheartening, and been seriously let down by some people along the way (don’t worry, no one you know, this isn’t some cryptic gossip 😉).

Seeing all of those supportive messages meant so much, truly appreciate it!!

And yep, heard you loud and clear, I’m turning the mid roll ads on 👍

Let’s see what the algorithm does.

WHAT’S COMING NEXT + SMALL CHANGES ON THE CHANNEL

🇨🇭 Currently working on the SWITZERLAND series that’ll be out at the end of the month.

🥾 It’ll be a 2 part series, first episode I take Jaime and some of our friends on my favourite hikes in the Jungfrau region.

⛰️ 2nd episode I’m travelling solo, heading to a few places in Switzerland I’ve never been to before.

MID-ROLL ADS 💵

As you may know I don’t have mid-roll ads in my documentaries, as I feel it disrupts the flow of the film.

Unfortunately by not having them on 1) I make less money and 2) I don’t think the algorithm favours me since YouTube is making less from my videos.

So what I’m gonna do from now on is:

- when a series is first released I won’t have them turned on
- once the last episode of the series is out, I’ll wait a week (as I know some people like to binge watch them once they’re all out) and then after the first week of them all being released, I’ll turn the mid roll ads on
- that means you get a chance to watch them uninterrupted and then after that I get to make some money!

I’ve been working on the channel full time for over a year now, and honestly the income has been pitiful.

I could go on a massive rant about this, but I won’t because it would be unprofessional, but I’ll just say that a good portion of this is down to people I’ve hired to bring in revenue for the channel massively failing at their one job.

I’m now having to downsize some of my travel plans for 2026 because of this, and am looking for freelance video editing work again to plug the holes in my finances.

So for the Canada series, I’ll activate the mid-roll ads on Monday, so you’ve got this weekend to watch them without the ads if you prefer.

And the new Dolomites film they’ll be activated at the end of the week.

BTW it’s SO fun seeing the Winter Olympics start and trying to recognise the places I hiked in the video! 🙂

NEXT TRIPS ✈️

I’ll be going away in March for the month and filming 2 trips back to back:

🇯🇵 2 weeks in Japan with Jaime.

One of my favourite countries!! I’ll be revisiting some places I went back in 2018, but over half the trip will be in new places, plus in terms of the actual activities, over 95% of it will all be new stuff

🇮🇩 2 weeks in Indonesia with my mate Luke

Backpacking from Jakarta to Komodo, but not spending any time in Bali. Gonna cram a lot into these 2 weeks and it’s gonne be so much fun.
